Welome to your new adventure

Joanna Gray

Good morning, It's a beautiful day here, the birds are just starting to sing the sun over the horizon and it's absolutely resonant.
Thanks to all who have responded to my desire to have someone to play with. I woke up this morning excited to begin the calendar. My intentions for doing this with other people is to support one another and to combine our group energy to accomplish more than what we could do on our own. In the past few years I've vibrated myself out of old relationships and I'm now choosing to vibrate myself into new friendships with people who are consciously creating wonderful things. For those who are going to be doing the calendar, sometime this week send an e-mail of introduction, what your intentions are for doing the calendar this year, what is your virtual meeting place, what's your favorite color, and the best way to keep in touch with you (on the list, personal e-mail, phone, dreamtime...) it will be interesting to see what our connections already are.

I live in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley right on the river. I'm a single mom , 2 teenagers , a boy turning 18 in a few weeks and a 13 year old daughter turning 30. They are the biggest blessing and inspiration in my life. I'm a transplanted Northener from Cleveland and it surprises me that I have raised my children in the rural South. I've just turned 49 a few weeks ago, this calendar was one of my gifts to myself. The other was a trip to Virginia Beach that I had been wanting for years (saw dolphins and went para-sailing!) I also decided to take up running because it was something I've never done before. It certainly has surprised the cows down the road, they like to run with me!
I grew up in a very creative household, had a crazy metaphysical grandfather who channeled in the 50's so I've always believed in the invisible worlds. I'm an artist ,primarily collage work now, a dancer, Reiki Master, retired massage therapist, I love to be outside. Just got myself a little kayak to paddle around on my river, love to hike the mountains here. I'm currently working fulltime in a real job with benefits and all, I'd never had a real job before this. I work for the local hospital in the home health. I'm also going to college part time to finally get a degree. Not sure yet what but it will have sometning to do with art, creativity, living spaces. I'm taking 2 cyber classes this semester. Going back to school as an older student is fantastic. I love it. My influences in the past have been Seth and more recently Caroline Myss.
I've been pretty successful with creating things in my life, I've created myself out of poverty after my divorce, and we have a pretty good life now. But lately I've felt myself hitting my head on the glass ceiling of my creations. My intentions with doing this calendar are to move beyond this to truly create my life to its fullest capacity. I intend to live this second half (or maybe 2/3) of my life living the life I choose. I've realised that when I don't get the results I have chosen it's not becuase of my lack of ability to visualise , it's the microthoughts I think all day that send me off in the wrong direction. like having a road map but always making the wrong turn. I want my visualisations, my macrothoughts to be congruent with my microthoughts.
My favorite color is blue.
My virtual meeting place is a treehouse for now, room enough for all of us, endless supply of everyone's favorite foods, Spectacular view of mountains and ocean. My alternate meeting place, if you don't find me here is we're all para-sailing, looking down on the ocean and able to see for miles!!
You may reach me here, personal email, or dreamtime. Or if you come to Virginia, in person at the Artful Dodger coffee shop.
Creatively yours
Joanna
ps...I'm really excited, this is going to be fantastic!!

Thanks for kicking this off, Joanna :). Gosh, I feel like we might be
sisters. I was born in Norfolk, VA and spent my early years playing
at Virginia Beach. My family gradually migrated west, and I live in
Seattle now. I'm 38, divorced for 4 years and have an 18 year old son
who will begin attending the University of Washington in just a few
weeks.

I've lived in Seattle since my family moved us here in 1980. Funny, I
never imagined I'd live here this long, but I've been resisting it
less the past few years. I struggle with long months of rain and
gray, but this past winter I took a photography class that got me out
and 'seeing' more, and that helped a lot! Maui is my favorite place
on earth (so far), and I'd like to go there again in November.

Long ago I had a dream to work at Microsoft, and I did so for 11
years. It was great, and about a year ago I left to find my creative
side. This past year has been one of rapid and profound spiritual
growth and exploration. I've been gardening, making glass beads, and
also pearl jewelry that I sell in a couple of local shops and at
occasional shows. I've become very interested in energy work, and
this coming weekend I'm signed up for a full weekend workshop
called "Awakenings" to learn about energy healing. The following
weekend I'll be taking a full weekened Reiki workshop.

My favorite color for the past 5 years or so has been green -- lime,
chartreuse, olive, I love green! Friends tell me it symbolizes the
growth I've been experiencing :)

My intentions for doing the calendar are continued unfolding of
awareness, daily reinforcement of the Abraham principles, and
reminders for keeping my vibe up.

You can always find me blissing on the warm, sandy beach watching the
palm trees sway, enjoying the light breeze on my sun-kissed face and
breathing the occasional whiff of nearby tropical flowers. Oh, here
comes a wonderful man with my margarita ;)

cheers,
Luann
