For those who are going to be doing the calendar, sometime this
week send an e-mail of introduction, what your intentions are for
doing the calendar this year, what is your virtual meeting place,
what's your favorite color, and the best way to keep in touch with
you (on the list, personal e-mail, phone, dreamtime...) it will be
interesting to see what our connections already are.
Thanks for kicking this off, Joanna :). Gosh, I feel like we might be
sisters. I was born in Norfolk, VA and spent my early years playing
at Virginia Beach. My family gradually migrated west, and I live in
Seattle now. I'm 38, divorced for 4 years and have an 18 year old son
who will begin attending the University of Washington in just a few
weeks.
I've lived in Seattle since my family moved us here in 1980. Funny, I
never imagined I'd live here this long, but I've been resisting it
less the past few years. I struggle with long months of rain and
gray, but this past winter I took a photography class that got me out
and 'seeing' more, and that helped a lot! Maui is my favorite place
on earth (so far), and I'd like to go there again in November.
Long ago I had a dream to work at Microsoft, and I did so for 11
years. It was great, and about a year ago I left to find my creative
side. This past year has been one of rapid and profound spiritual
growth and exploration. I've been gardening, making glass beads, and
also pearl jewelry that I sell in a couple of local shops and at
occasional shows. I've become very interested in energy work, and
this coming weekend I'm signed up for a full weekend workshop
called "Awakenings" to learn about energy healing. The following
weekend I'll be taking a full weekened Reiki workshop.
My favorite color for the past 5 years or so has been green -- lime,
chartreuse, olive, I love green! Friends tell me it symbolizes the
growth I've been experiencing :)
My intentions for doing the calendar are continued unfolding of
awareness, daily reinforcement of the Abraham principles, and
reminders for keeping my vibe up.
You can always find me blissing on the warm, sandy beach watching the
palm trees sway, enjoying the light breeze on my sun-kissed face and
breathing the occasional whiff of nearby tropical flowers. Oh, here
comes a wonderful man with my margarita ;)
cheers,
Luann
