First post here...

Greetings.
I work in the audio industry and had my teen years in the back yard of Tektronix , so naturally gravitated to using Tek gear. I am not a collector, just a user,... I use my Tek stuff in a real working environment. Here is a partial list of my lab:

I like the 7844 and 7104 also. Welcome to a place to ask questions about repair, use of probes, measurement setups, whatever.

I have spare scopes untested also. I am not a collector either. I only use tektronix scopes for very serious applications --
never because they can be sort of beautiful. I also try to spend more time measuring with them than repairing or polishing.

Not a collector.

Jennifer- Welcome aboard......
and here I thought I had too many...space is the limiting factor.....I am not a collector either but grew up using mostly Tek scopes.
Great bunch of folks here.

Bonjour chère Jennifer,

We have met before..am sure you knew our friends in audio....and Tek...

Bravo for the Tektronix collection! Fine selection.

See the other Tekscope at groups.io ( omit the 2) as they do not overlap, also Tekwiki and EEVBLOG.

I am not a collector, that's what we all say.

Someone who is not a collector owns one scope.? ;-)

The number of parts scopes does not count, just like calories on a vacation.

yes indeed....I owned ( note the past tense) 2 tek 475 so I could have 4 channel capabilities when rarely needed but it started as a back-up.....now 8 different varieties some rescued from going to trash....then there are the parts units and the TM500 series stuff to maintain them and then the HP stuff etc.......keep adding... seldom remove stuff...it is a horribly wonderful disease.LOL
my family cringes at all the equipment......

Jennifer:

Welcome to the group.
That is an impressive collection of hardware.
Had most of the same except for the 7104 and the curve tracers prior to downsizing due to space limitations and retirement.
