Since you have been able to communicate with Yokogawa directly I wonder if you could ask them if there might be any technical information still available, service manual, or even a plain schematic of

Re: New group for Yokogawa test gear
I have just expanded the scope of the new group to cover Yokogawa, Anritsu, Hioki and Kyoritsu gear. I figure we may as well cover a bunch of the main brands of Japanese equipment in one place. Jared

New group for Yokogawa test gear
I've been recently acquiring more Yokogawa test gear and have been talking to Yokogawa to obtain old manuals etc, so I thought maybe I'd make a group to put the info and for others to join in too. I

Re: Telethons 2445
You can of course, still use a SIne wave signal, set for (say) 40 or 50MHz. (A 20MHz BandWidth limit should noticeably reduce it's amplitude, compared to "Full" bandwidth mode.) By comparison, a

Re: Telethons 2445
To get philosophical for a moment, a scope is a V-vs-t instrument, so the fidelity of the time domain response is paramount. As such, frequency domain measurements are merely an indirect analogue of

Re: Telethons 2445
IIRC, this scope has a calibration output that increases frequency as you reduce the timebase, so that it always "looks" the same on the CRT until you get to the shortest sweep times, where rounding

OK, then that makes all sorts of sense.? With the RF generator, if you can put out a 10 to 20 Mhz signal, then see what happens with the bandwidth change.? It ought to go down in amplitude with the

I can, but first, you realize that this is nothing more than a bandwidth check and a very crude one?? Your function generator ought to go to to 10 Mhz or so. If it does triangle waves, you can use a
