Oh, ok. So they have beam lead pin diodes too then. I'll do more research to clarify. The Schottky makes more sense due to the lower forward bias.

Thanks for the info!

Hi David,

Should I be looking for a beam or Schottky diode?

Yes, however you've been helpful in stearing me in the right direction.

Hi Aaron,

AFAIK there is no public service manual for it.
You need special tools, that can make tiny movements under the microscope.

Thank you Chuck and Ozan. I will continue dealing with the 10v circuit. ? I will be a little slow about working on it as my day job and family time seem to take up my spare time. ?I will continue updating so hopefully it will be useful to someone else dealing with this same type of issue.

If after removing J208, +10V is still low check 2.5V reference. +15V unregulated looks high enough to run the 2.5 reference, you should see the same +15V unregulated voltage at pin1 of U1290, and 2.5V at pin 2.

Maybe HSCH-5341 batch matched beam lead diodes if they are still available, or maybe something from Skyworks

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully, I can find help here or be directed. The Tektronix 80E04 20GHz TDR module needs sampling diodes. I don't know where to start for such a high frequency device and if it can be replaced due its small size. Please see the following photos to help in researching the defective parts. Thank you. The Photos are under "80E04".

Re: Tek2465B power supply troubleshooting

Hi Craig,

I too have one of Jerry's loads. It works very well. I bought
it when I got tired of using clip leads and a couple of power
resistors.

The 10V supply is a very important reference voltage,
start there. If it is wrong, nothing else will be right.

Heads on possible "fake" 2465B on ebay

This is a FYI that this 2465B on ebay is possibly a converted 2445B:

The badge above CRT is fake and the blue filter appears to be a blue plastic film placed behind the implosion shield.
Scopes with these modifications, especially the fake badge, have been shown to be converted 2445Bs.

Re: Manual for 1240/1240 ROM Decoder packs needed. 12RM21 is at the top of the list

Hi everyone , this is slightly off topic but it is a very similar problem . I have a DAS9100 and part of the system is the PMA100 . The DAS recognizes the PMA100 and seems to organize the pods sensibly -- but the manual says the PMA needs certain tapes for use , it seems there are 2 tapes needed for each possible CPU to be part of the tested system . Does anyone know of the whereabouts of any of these tapes and does anyone know if the PMA actually works properly without use of any of the tapes as the manual does not suggest usage for anything with a user configuration . I have the general-purpose pod and the Z80 pod .
Any help will be much appreciated .

Brian (UK).

I've been puzzling out some of these over on the w140.com wiki, but the actual docs would be much less error prone, even if you can only mail me a photo of the page with the micro to pod connection listing.

Many thanks!
