Hello again,
I think I goofed yesterday and replied to the moderator instead of the
list. I just wanted to clarify the trade offer. The 7S12 is just the
7S12, no plugins. Also, the knob for turning the distance tape scale
is not 100%. It has a flip out handle for turning the knob, but the
actual handle is gone. It functions like an ordinary knob though.
Also, I have a line on a 7D15 for a decent price. I'm still looking
for sampling heads and pulse generator heads.
Thanks,
Bob

Hi all,
I picked up two 7S12 TDR plugins for my Tek 7854 scope on eBay. I
checked them both out and they're fine. I only need one and would
like to trade the other for any of the following plugins that I'm
looking for:
S6 sampling head
S52 pulse generator head
7B87 time base
7D15 225MHz frequency counter
Also, I'll be working on writing some modern software for the Tek
7854. I'm leaning toward a USB to GPIB or Ethernet to GPIB interface
so I can use a laptop instead of a computer requiring a PCI slot. Do
any of you have experience with these units?
or
If I go with the Ethernet model, it would prevent the need for any
custom drivers to be installed, any computer with network access would
be able to talk to the scope (or any other GPIB instrument chain) and
not be limited to the 5 meter USB cable spec.
Thanks, and I apologize if this is not the proper forum for trades.
