I bought the unit Sphere was selling. But with the flooding it will be a while before I can play with it :-(
The specs indicate a BW of 2.5 GHz. However, the BNC front panel connector is a significant limitation.
Has anyone substituted a 3.5 mm connector for the BNC and measured the BW?
I know a couple of list members who are trying to acquire an 11801 & SD-24 but those have been unobtainable at reasonable prices of late. Which leads me to wonder if a 1502 with some mods might be a viable alternative while they wait for something to appear.
Once I get the 1502 I'll be doing detailed comparisons using it to evaluate RF connectors. It's obviously entirely satisfactory for its intended use. But will it do more?
