Check the serial number of your scope against the manual as I think that there are several types.
On a positive note. Mine had seized so I dismantled it, cleaned the bearings by forcing iso propyl alcohol into the bearings followed by light oil until they were smooth. It then ran beautifully. A very nicely made motor.
