I'm sure they had a supplier issue a bad batch of either sprayers or nozzle tubes then. It definitely happens from time to time in manufacturing. I wonder if the MG tubes would fit another brand of sprayer or if another tube from a different brand can would fit the MG can. That might help narrow down where the problem lies. Myself I'd be measuring tubes and holes on every can I've got to make sure I wasn't losing it, haha.
