Flight Analysis Software

I was browsing my aviation YouTube channels and came across this website mentioned on Cleared Direct.? It is ?
I've only played around with it for a couple of minutes, but it is really cool!? It can take your EFIS data and analyze and replay it, and Keith, it does work with our GRT units. You can get takeoff and landing performance, it provides warnings of your flight (too close to stall, traffic, potential wake turbulence, oscillations in flare, centerline deviation...).? It would be great for a CFI to review with a student, but it also would be great for phase1 flight analysis.
You can replay your flight in real-time with a realistic out the window view.? The website is free.? You do have to set up an account and then you can just drag and drop your flight data.? It will also use ADSB data if you don't have an EFIS.

Thanks Mike,
Do I need to do anything special on my GRT Sport EX to download this data?? Do I have to go into settings and enable capture of the data etc.? ?Can I just attach a thumb drive and export the data?? ?I will be in big trouble if it monitors centerline deviations :).? ?I constantly work on trying to land and stay on the centerline but still need to do better.
Keith

If you have a thumb drive in the Sport-EX when you turn it on, it will write all the data to the drive when you turn it off. It writes two sets of data - several DEMO000xx.LOG files and one GRT FDL yyyymmdd xxxxxx.CSV file.
You upload the .CSV file to??and it does it's magic. My only complaint with it is that I haven't seen it clearly denote practice stalls at altitude - it would be nice to see the actual AoA and AS at the point of the stalls.?

As Don mentioned there are two types of data recorder in the GRT: Demo Recorder and FDL (flight data log).? It is the FDL that you need.? You need to turn FLD logging on in the settings menu, under general setup.? Then you need to have a USB drive in during the flight.? There are two other parameters, the record interval (1sec default) and the save interval (60 second default).? The first is the time resolution of the recording and the second is how frequently it downloads the data to the USB drive. After that you don't need to do anything.? If you have a USB drive plugged in it will record and if you don't it won't.
The FDL file is in .csv format so you can open it in a spreadsheet and look at it.? That is what I did for reviewing my phase 1 flights.? In this case you can drag and drop the file into the website.

FYI - the USB socket is on the rear of the Sport-EX making it hard to get to.?
I use a small USB hub to provide access just below the panel (this is in a C182A) like this:?
and a small thumb drive to be inobtrusive like this:?
I'm sure that there are plenty of other options, these are just the ones I locked onto first.

Thanks Mike and Don,
?
I already have a USB socket on a short cable that I just reach from below/behind my panel that i use for updating the Nav database every 28 days so that will work fine.? I will turn on FLD and then put a USB drive in before start up and then leave it in.? I am interested to see what I have.? ?It will be another reason to go ahead and connect my GRT? EIS to the Sport EX.? That will be easy to do,? just haven't done it.
Thanks
