‘Survivor 48’ finale recap:
‘Survivor 48’ finale recap: Did Eva, Joe, Kamilla, Kyle, or Mitch win the $1 million prize?- ?
?48?concluded on Wednesday with the jury's decision on whether?Joe Hunter,?Kamilla Karthigesu,?Kyle Fraser,?Eva Erickson, or?Mitch Guerra?would be named the next "Sole Survivor." When we last left off in the penultimate episode, Kamilla and Kyle manufactured a lie to convince Joe and Eva to oust their ally?Shauhin Davari?with the dual hope that it would undermine their loyal gameplay and relieve them of their own responsibility for turning on the alliance. In the epic three-hour finale, titled "Only One of Yous Can Win," which aired May 21 on?, we find out if Kamilla and Kyle's gamble paid off, whether or not Joe can fulfill his promise to get him and Eva both to the end, and how, if at all, Mitch finally makes the big move he's been waiting to make. The members of the jury at the start of the episode are:?Cedrek McFadden,?Chrissy Sarnowsky,?David Kinne,?Star Toomey,?Mary Zheng, and Davari. Two more from the final five will join them and only one of the final three will take home the $1 million prize. Let's find out who outwits, outplays and outlasts the others!
"I do think I deserve an Emmy"?— Kamilla KarthigesuFollowing their "hare-brained" plan, Kamilla and Kyle were in shock that they actually pulled it off and equally shocked that Joe never fact-checked the story Kamilla told him with Shauhin directly. If Joe had, they may not have went through with voting Shauhin out, but as it stood post-tribal is that both Eva and Joe felt they can trust Kyle and believe that he'll be going with them to the Final Tribal Council. Before anyone could settle in to their path to the FTC, they were presented with an opportunity to gain an advantage in the next immunity challenge by becoming the first to decode a puzzle lock similar to the ones that unlocked the Beware Advantages earlier in the season. Once again there were symbols hidden around camp that they needed to collect in order to unscramble a six-letter word. Kyle was the first to get all the letters, but his guess of "RESCUE" was incorrect and Eva's guess of "SECURE" proved to be correct.Eva's advantage in the final five challenge for immunity and pasta reward was to get an automatic placement of her ball in a basket at the midway point of the obstacle course, instead of having to toss it in. In the running of the course, Joe, Mitch and Kyle all got to and passed this stage before Eva got to it, effectively nullifying her advantage in a challenge she didn't need to win anyway (she has a hidden idol to keep her safe). Once again the puzzle at the end of the course became the great equalizer and even Kamilla, lagging behind in the entire challenge, caught up to be only one piece behind anyone that was ahead of her. In the end, Kamilla overcame her deficit and grew a commanding lead on the puzzle to nab her second individual win and secure her own safety to reach the final four. Kamilla invited Eva to join her on the reward, wanting to fulfill her wish of having pasta.
"I should have made a move"?— Mitch GuerraWith Kamilla's immunity win, Mitch saw an opportunity for him, Kamilla and Kyle to be on the right side of the numbers to finally get Joe out of the game. The situation placed Kyle in the middle having to yet again decide between whether sitting next to Mitch or Joe is more dangerous for his own ability to win. While on reward, Kamilla was proud to know that she successfully created a situation where no one will be able to write her name on the parchment until they vote for her to win, but she, too, was in a position of having to assess who is most dangerous for her to sit next to. She felt like Kyle would be the worst for her to be at the end with, but she found herself wanting to stick to her word that either she or him needs to be in the end and so she can't vote him out. Eventually she confessed to Mitch that he's going to be difficult to beat because everyone loves him and so she'd be voting him out. The final five was direct about the decision to vote Mitch out next, a revelation that caught some side-eye glances from the members of the jury at TC. Mitch admitted that "it sucks" because there's no argument he could make to sway anyone, but understood their perspective and that it's just a game. Knowing she didn't need it, Eva still officially played her immunity idol ahead of the 4-1 vote to send Mitch to the jury. Mitch's single vote was for Kyle.
"I've tried to maneuver myself to avoid making fire at all costs"?— Joe HunterAs Kyle put it, the final four consisted of two "very different duos" in the sense that the closeness of him and Kamilla was kept secret for most of the game while Joe and Eva existed as a very public pair for the entire run of the season. Another difference was their outlook on how to win the game as individuals — Eva and Joe both wanted to win the final immunity in order to secure safety for them both, but Kamilla and Kyle had a mutual understanding that sitting next to each other makes it difficult for them each to win and so they'd be asking the other to make fire instead of taking them to the final three. For the final immunity challenge, the four players competed in the notorious ball drop timing device, Simmotion, that first appeared during Season 18 in Tocantins. Kyle was excited to play the classic challenge, but Kamilla was keenly aware of the difficulty of it and so she agreed to believe that it's equally scary "for everyone here," not just her. In the challenge, Eva was the first to bow out after adding her third ball to the device. Kamilla was next to drop with the fourth ball added. Joe dropped next, also at the fourth ball, leaving Kyle standing alone as the final immunity challenge winner and giving him the power to decide who sits next to him in the final three and which two will need to make fire to earn their spot. Even before his individual chats with the others, Kyle had already decided he'd be taking Joe with him to the end in order to "make good on a promise" he made Joe and to prevent him from notching another victory before the final pitches to the jury — he wanted to keep the momentum on his own side. Eva and Kamilla were both told they'd be making fire and so they used the afternoon to practice, understanding that it was their opportunity to show the jury a new jewel in their crown. When it became clear that Eva was struggling to overcome her frustration during practice, both Kyle and Joe contemplated stepping in to her position instead, but she insisted that it was something she had to do. At the challenge site, Eva was thrown off when she realized that the tools they'd have to make fire differed from the coconut and husks she was using in practice. Still, she pushed through and competed against Kamilla as determined by Kyle. Eva was first to get a flame in her hessian and proceeded to build up a fire using the sticks before Kamilla could turn a spark into a flame. At one point Eva had a scare when her large flame dampened down to a small fire, but she was able to build it back up and won the challenge with Kamilla never producing a lasting a flame at all. "Hello beautiful, triflin' ass b----es"?— Star ToomeyAhead of their time with the finalists, Shauhin and Kamilla appeared to be #TeamKyle, saying in confessionals that he "turned on people when he absolutely had to and not a moment too early" and "is a damn good liar." Mitch was looking for Kyle to "own the cutthroat game he truly played" in order to get his vote. #TeamEva had possible support from Mary ("she whole-heartedly trusted people" and "was incredibly courageous") and Cedrek ("a physical beast"), but Kamilla would need her to "reveal to the jury" that she actively tried to lower her threat level. Chrissy sees Joe as a "stand up guy" and Star thinks he "took the game and dominated," but David was concerned that he "broke a lot of promises" so backing for #TeamJoe was just as uneven as the others. Cedrek opened FTC by wanting to know the weaknesses that each of them overcame in the game. Eva spoke on the episodes she has because of her autism that causes complications for her, but she overcame it by trusting in Joe. Wearing emotions on his sleeve was Joe's weakness, but he believes he "harnessed it" to make pivotal moves. Kyle said he's overconfident and that caused him to pivot to a more strategic-minded game rather than physical one. When asked about leveraging social connections by Mitch, Eva used her time to speak about her bond with Joe to which Chrissy challenged her (and Joe) to fight the other by pointing out that "only one of yous can win." Joe found it important to say that he made his bond with Eva a personal one that he doesn't want to leverage and asked that she and him only be judged on the games they played as individuals.Star was interested in hearing about the "undercover moves" the finalists made to get a glimpse at the aspect of their games that were not obvious. The jury was impressed when Eva revealed she earned the Safety Without Power advantage under the cover of night and that she never used it, but she and Kyle both blew their minds more by admitting to their secrets as a Ph.D. student and a lawyer, respectively. "As soon as you gave me the bullet, I had to load it"?— Kyle FraserEventually the topic of the Shauhin vote came up, thanks to a prompt from Mary and David, with Eva taking the lead to say that because Shauhin's best move was to split her and Joe up that they decided to flip on Shauhin. Shauhin put a damper on that by saying that he was not in fact looking to split them up because he knew his best chance at winning was actually sitting next to them. Kamilla volleyed the conversation to Kyle, allowing him to counter Eva's argument that she and Joe were "the strongest pair" by explaining exactly how he and Kamilla were the strongest pair and no one knew about it. He said "the perception was that Joe was the muscle, Eva was the heart, and Shauhin was the brains." He slammed the door fully shut when he added, "I took out the brains of this operation because I had to." Following a bomb of a knock knock joke from David and Eva's closing statement where she declared herself an "unprecedented" player that they should reward to represent their season, the jury's questioning came to a close and their deliberation began. In the voting booth we witnessed Cedrek vote for Joe, Mary vote for Eva, and Kamilla vote for Kyle. The final tally as read by Jeff was: Joe, Eva, Kyle, Eva, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. The sole Survivor of Season 48 is Kyle by a commanding 5-2-1 vote!

Joe comments on the courage it takes to not put a single carb or starch on the plate. That salmon is cooked beautifully and Gordon says, "It tastes as good as it looks." Terry calls the salmon "unbelievable" but says they could have seared it just a little bit longer. Winners:?Zach and Michelle Battle 2Tina and Aivan (aunt/niece) vs. Shanda and Asa (cousins) Tina and Aivan: Vietnamese Steamed Bass with Black Bean Sauce, Glass Noodles, and Herb Salad. Gordon loves the elegance and says, "It's got 'eat me' all over it!" The bass is glistening and noodles are "perfect." Gordon calls it "attractive" but says he's never seen a stew "that firm." The chicken is cooked beautifully and the sauce is "delicious," but the judges would prefer more liquid. Tiffany compliments the flavors and Joe calls it "an excellent effort." Winners:?Athena and Timothy Next weekWith three pairs of white aprons secure, five more are up for grabs as 10 new Dynamic Duos go head-to-head for a spot in the competition.

Are Xander and Sarah Broken Beyond Repair After the May 21 DAYS? In the Wednesday, May 21, 2025, episode of?, Stephanie and Cat’s Sip ‘n Paint hospital fundraising event was apparently a success. Brady, Alex, and Maggie fretted for Philip, who remained in critical condition. And Stephanie warned Cat that Chad may never get over Abby. Paulina gave Johnny and Chanel her place. But, really, the big news was the disintegration of Xander and Sarah’s marriage thanks to their secrets, lies, and violent actions. The Secret is Finally OutWow, those Xander (Paul Telfer) and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) scenes were intense, but what else could we have expected? We knew Xander connected the dots after Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) told him, “Sarah knew.” How could he not? It was just a matter of how he would react to learning about the betrayal. He reacted by becoming utterly cold and unfeeling about Philip, Sarah’s betrayal, and her reasons for betraying him. The only time he really showed any heartfelt emotion was when he ultimately had to say goodbye to Victoria. READ THIS:? Xander’s beatdown of PhilipFirst, we have to talk about how Xander came clean about knowing what Sarah did, but he remained cagey on beating Philip to a pulp. Even though his hand/knuckles were bruised and hurting. He showed no remorse for what he did to his half-brother. It feels like Xander has morphed into something even colder and more unfeeling than his old self. It’s the walls he’s constructed at this latest betrayal, but still, calling Philip “crazy” and blaming Sarah for his beatdown was hurtful and wrong. Sarah covering up Philip’s betrayalSarah did her best to explain her side of things to Xander. She told him that she really thought that Victor (the late John Aniston) would have wanted the half-brothers to work together. But the real reason she kept the forged letter from him was that she hoped Philip’s presence would keep him in check. She was afraid that with enough power at his disposal, his base instincts would take over. She didn’t want him to do something that would end up with him in prison. Xander couldn’t believe what he was hearing. And he couldn’t believe she had such little faith in him. However, she pointed out that it wasn’t too long ago that her husband went after Brady (Eric Martsolf) with a bat, plotted to kill him, and held a gun to Philip’s head. She said she felt her choices were validated after knowing what he did to Philip. And then she threw him out of the mansion. He told her that if he was leaving, it was with Victoria. But there was no way Sarah would let Victoria go with Xander after the violence he had just inflicted on his brother. So, Xander had to bid his daughter adieu, but he told his daughter he would always be there for her. Burning QuestionsHow could the Salem PD let Xander go when the evidence was those bruised and bloody knuckles of his? The railing excuse shouldn’t have worked. Do you think that Xander and Sarah are over for good? Sarah covered for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). Do you think Xander will deduce that Maggie also kept the secret from him?Do you think Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was right about Chad (Billy Flynn) never getting over Abby (Marci Miller)? Was Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) and Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) closeness in this episode sudden to you?

Secrets Came Out After A Classic Nurses Ball Performance On May 21 General HospitalThe Nurses Ball is already starting off with a bang! The Nurses Ball kicked off in true soap fashion, with a classic performance and secrets spilling out during the May 21, 2025 episode of?Blackmail at the BallAs the Nurses Ball got underway with a performance from its nurses featuring Dr. Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), Curtis (Donnell Turner) just couldn’t stay quiet about Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) blackmail. He finally told Portia (Brook Kerr) what he knows, and she came clean about what Brad (Parry Shen) did and that Drew was holding it over her. Being the second major lie she’s told him, Curtis admitted he wasn’t sure how to move on from this after she promised not to keep things from him. READ THIS:? Another bout of blackmail that came to light was Ric (Rick Hearst) and Ava (Maura West) holding Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) freedom over Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). The two hadn’t yet left for the ball when Alexis was forced to admit to her daughter what has been going on, and Kristina realized the committal papers were simply to protect her. While Kristina worried she couldn’t keep quiet about it all, Alexis assured her she would do what she has to in order to protect her. Boots and BabiesIn the midst of the drama, we got what felt like a classic Nurses Ball performance, featuring Anna (Finola Hughes), Lucy (Lynn Herring), Felicia (Kristina Wagner), and led by Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). The women danced while Spinelli sang “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’,” wearing regrettably pink boots. Another stunning performance was from Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who brought his violin talents to the Nurses Ball stage for the first time. But of course, things couldn’t end on a happy note. When Lulu (Alexa Havins) noticed how proud Lois (Rena Sofer) looked during Gio’s performance, she finally confronted her, revealing her suspicions about Gio being Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) son.

Grace (Cassandra Creech) didn’t call them to the office to talk cures, she wanted to discuss extending the time he has left. Liam, Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Steffy (Jacquline MacInnes Wood) sat and listened as she explained there was a way to slowdown the timeline, however, the extra days/weeks/months come at a cost. It’s a choice between quality of life and quantity of life. Radiation and chemo were on the table but the treatment protocol could the clock slowdown and the side effects are risky. MORE:? Steffy was all for moving forward and keeping Liam around as long as possible. However, Liam wasn’t so sure. He saw what his mother went though when sickness took her life. She wasn’t the woman she was near the end and Liam didn’t want that for himself or the children. Let Me ExplainMeanwhile, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was put off by Hope’s (Annika Noelle) insistence he’s the only man for her considering what he overheard. Hope tried to explain and tell him that’s not what it is at all but Carter wasn’t about to take her word for it. Hope had no choice but to tell Carter everything. Yes, she said all those things but only because Liam is dying. Carter looked gobsmacked. He pulled Hope into his arms as tears filled her eyes. Carter understood Hope’s moment of waffling and forgave her. They decided then and there to put the past behind them and bank on their own love. Carter vowed to be the man Hope needed right now…and the man she’d need forever. Try, Try AgainSpeaking of reconciliation, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) took Steffy and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) newfound peace as a green light to try and win back Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). If their daughters could get along why can’t they put things back how they belong too? Ridge let her talk without saying much and looked rather relieved when Katie (Heather Tom) walked in the room and interrupted the chitchat. Katie joined in putting the pressure on Ridge and continued that pressure even after Brooke left. Her sister is the dressmaker’s destiny and she urged him to make things right. Ridge took the lecture in stride and smiled as Katie made her thoughts known. All the while, Brooke was in the staging room reminiscing about the fashion show and the world’s reaction to seeing them together on stage. A Green-Eyed MonsterAcross the hall, Electra (Laneya Grace) had a big idea for Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) but her proposal of creating fragrances to go with jewels didn’t land well. Creating a gemstone perfume line was the least of her worries after learning Hope was back in the office – and that it was her friend’s doing. Steffy rehired Hope?! Daphne Rose was gagged over the whole thing. It was clear she felt betrayed by her friend. Steffy brought her here to get rid of the woman and now she’s inviting her back into he inner circle?! Later, alone with Zende, she vented about the whole ordeal.

: Young and the Restless May 21?
I will believe Michael when I see him tell Victor and actually walk away.?
What Happened Today On Young and the Restless May 21? Lauren’s Fear GrowsLove was in the air and stakes were sky-high as Jack, Victor, and Michael each pulled out all the stops for the women in their lives—but not every grand gesture came without risk. ?for Wednesday, May 21 sees Lauren worry when Michael stops working for Victor. Plus, Victor romances Nikki while Diane and Jack have a romantic night in.What Happened On Y&R Today?Jack (Peter Bergman) had a surprise waiting for Diane (Susan Walters) at the Abbott house. She came downstairs expecting a night out and found champagne, candles, and Jack dressed to the nines in a tux. He wanted to celebrate her hard work and thank her for everything she’s done for their home. Jack called Diane the most important Abbott and assured her that the house now truly reflected them both. Diane was touched, but when Jack mentioned his sisters would be visiting to see the renovations, she got nervous. She expected Traci (Beth Maitland) to be supportive, but she worried about Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Diane reminded Jack that Billy (Jason Thompson) had a tough reaction, too, and felt she’d robbed him of his connection to John. Jack assured her she honored their father’s legacy and predicted Billy would come around. Diane didn’t need apologies, but she appreciated Jack’s support. He called her a foundational member of the family and suggested they finally take the honeymoon they never had. Diane loved the idea. He said they could go anywhere she wanted, and she said it wasn’t just for her—it was for them. They kissed and danced in the candlelight, dreaming of what’s next. MORE:?. Happy Birthday, BabyAt the new ranch, Victor (Eric Braeden) surprised Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) with an early celebration for her birthday. He handed her a glass of wine and toasted to his forever young and beautiful wife. He reminded her the night was about her—her resilience, her strength—and not about anyone else. Nikki appreciated the gesture and admired how Claire (Hayley Erin) had convinced him to help plan the party. They slow danced and remembered the early days of their love, with Victor calling those the best days of his life. Talk turned to Claire, and Victor made it clear he still didn’t approve of her relationship with Kyle (Michael Mealor). Nikki told him to focus on their night and let the younger generation handle their own decisions. Victor presented her with a gift—a locket with a photo of her, Victoria, and Claire. She loved it. They joked, reminisced, and shared caviar. Victor recalled the moment he first saw her dance and told her she was unforgettable. Nikki said he’d always been handsome and mysterious, and they kissed. Michael Stuns LaurenOver at the jazz lounge, Michael (Christian Le Blanc) had a romantic evening planned for Lauren (Tracey Bregman). He kissed her neck, poured her a drink, and told her he wanted to make her feel like the center of his universe. Lauren figured this was about their recent fights over Victor. She warned that sweeping gestures wouldn’t fix the real problem. Michael got behind the bar to make her a drink and explained he’d rented out the entire lounge just for them. They danced, and he praised her as the most intelligent woman he’s ever known.Lauren was intrigued but skeptical. She asked if this was all part of an apology. Michael admitted it was. He talked about the history he and Victor shared, about all the times he let himself become Victor’s pawn. He swore it was over. He was ready to walk away for good and put Lauren first. Tearing up, Lauren asked if he meant it. He promised he did. She said she was surprised in the best possible way, and they kissed. Lauren admitted she was scared of what Victor would do once he found out.

But she also wanted to give Pamela hope for her dating future. That fake kiss triggered Chelsea, who expressed her anger to her mom. As a result, she ended up coming out to her mom. She finally told Dani how she was first experimenting and then everything evolved, and now she realizes she’s enjoying being with women. She confessed to her mom that she was bi and queer.Even though Chelsea had just accused Dani of, once again, making everything about herself, Dani came through for her girl.
