Thursday Holiday TAAS Meeting
Hi TAASers.
Hope all is well with everyone.?
I was hoping for another in-person meeting this week. ?Leslie suggested Mr. G’s for a get-together. ?I don’t know if we can get a quiet space there for a gathering. (Last time it was crowded.) I don’t believe we have any business we need to handle, so it will be a social meeting. ?The club can afford some appetizers.? Thoughts on an inexpensive ($15-$25) gift or equipment exchange. Mark |

I like the idea of the old equipment exchange we've done in the past.? Maybe limit it to Amy's tripod cost and we should all be able to contribute.? Just kidding.?
I don't care if you put a limit on equipment costs as long as it's in decent, usable condition.? 7 PM?? Can you make a reservation there? Honestly, I don't know.? Weather permitting.? My FIAT is leaking antifreeze so it won't be a very late night for me. John Sillasen? |
开云体育Too many respiratory infections going around for me to feel comfortable about going to a crowded restaurant at this time. Sorry to miss you all.?Amy On Dec 16, 2024, at 1:45?PM, John A. Sillasen via groups.io <jasillasen@...> wrote:

开云体育Hey John - I used to own a Spyder - back in 1982-85.? It leaked antifreeze -
had a split in the radiator where the drain cock/valve was on the
bottom.? It happened just when I was going to race it at the Lyme
raceway.? That got canned as I spent the day getting it repaired.?
FIAT - Fix It Again Tony.? I *loved* that car - but it was a
maintenance headache.? Good luck! On 12/16/24 13:43, John A. Sillasen via

I feel your pain, Geoff. This is only my/our third FIAT but I've had 16 Alfas and oh how I could tell stories!

They only used 20w-50 weight oil so I used to put a light bulb covered with a carpet under the hood just to start my '75 Alfetta sedan to keep the oil from being sludge. The CT Alfa Romeo Owners Club used to rent Lime Rock every year? - sometimes sharing the track with the FIAT/Lancia club.? Maybe you were a participant? This would have been in the early '80's through like '89 when I stopped being President of CT-AROC. John
