Marvin meets the moon

Tonight 9pm local time, be there!
?

It's cold and crisp in East Lyme. Marvin & I are tracking the moon and Mars in the TV Pronto and they're nicely framed in the 13mm ethos. Using a variable lunar filter to cut down the blinding glare. It¡¯s a beautiful naked eye sight as well. This is gonna be fun.

Marvin?

Amy:
I think Jay was referring to Marvin (The Martian) occulting the moon. I might be wrong, but that was my guess.

OOPs, should have been ¡°being¡± occulted by the moon.

Dang, got messaged from a member in Florida about the event but another member in Avon said it was cloudy. Went out at Midnight and it was clear as a bell with me completely missing the event!? Sigh. Another one not in the books.

The lunar occultation of Marvin was a lovely site to watch last night. The sky was clear and it wasn't windy. Sat on the back porch with binocs and watched Mars disappear. Then I came outside about an hour later and saw the red planet reappear. Sweet. And tonight, we get treated to a lovely spray of planets across the sky, plus the rising moon early in the evening. I can stay awake until 6/6:30 p.m. at least for this!
