George, binoculars would be great. I'll let you know what the library people say about doing an outreach event. Thanks, LB [email protected]> wrote:

Re: upcoming total lunar eclipse
Leslie: I should be able to bring binoculars, I¡¯m not sure the views through a scope would justify setting it up and it will be too early in the evening to get alignment stars for tracking. George

Re: upcoming total lunar eclipse
I like that idea, Mark, about observing the sunrise partial solar eclipse on March 29th from Harkness or Pequot Avenue. If we get there at 6/6:15a.m. DST, the whole show is over by 7:06a.m DST. Then

Re: upcoming total lunar eclipse
Yes, not many venues are going to be wiling to stay open to host an observing party the night/morning of this lunar eclipse. That is why I am thinking of activities BEFORE the eclipse that would run

Re: Nova tonight - UFOs
I came away with the same thoughts, George. More data, mom!! And now I want to learn more about Enigma Labs. You can see I am not going to get anything useful done :D https://enigmalabs.io/ LB

Re: Nova tonight - UFOs
Thanks, Leslie. I watched it and it was pretty even-handed. The two things I took away from this are gather more data and reduce the stigma of reporting unusual occurrences. George
