Coaming removal

Hi all,

I'm thinking of pulling the coamings and refinishing them over the winter in the heated comfort of my garage.? I remember hearing that the screws that hold them in place are partially covered by the icebox?? If anyone has any tips to offer about removing the coamings I would love some advice.

Thanks!

Good opportunity to permanently remove the icebox! We put in a nice cupboard that serves as a pantry when cruising. AC/DC fridge or use a good cooler. Just a thought....

Hey, I took mine off this year, but had already removed the ice box. I'd say take the rest of the screws out then tilt it so you can cut it off with a grinder. I didn't replace those screws when I put it back on, the two winches and screws through the cabin top seemed substantial enough. Fewer holes, fewer leaks.
