I thought Adam categorized it nicely. I would say that the 'dog house' is any part of the boat that sticks up above its deck level. You can call it a coach roof, cabin top or whatever but it is still

Chris, ? The doghouse is definitely cored with 1/2 balsa. I had to redo the whole doghouse and about 1/3 of the cabin top. Not much fun but still easier than the deck recore as you can ususlly sit
