Thanks for all your contributions to the knowledge of our class. You are a real asset! ? Although, looking at this photo, you are kind of rubbing it in (a record low 14° on the farm here this morning). Normally I would be playing hockey to stay in shape but, along with everything else, that is canceled. At least can I do yoga online. Central Wisconsin had a foot of snow two days ago. We only had a trace, in the southwest corner of the state along the Mississippi River Valley, but it was just enough to ski in the backyard before it got burned off. ? Hi Gail, et al., ? Instead of being jealous about the snow you're getting, in order to stay safe, I'm driving with my skis, at 75 miles an hour from Wisconsin through Chicago at the moment, while typing this. It sure is nice that there is virtually no rush-hour traffic. ? When I suggested people chime in with where they are, I was thinking that would be a good, standard, practice whenever we were posting. There are lots of names I don't recognize and I would love the get more background. It would make corresponding on this list more meaningful. ? I didn't imagine that this would spark a number of check-ins. But I'm really enjoying this. Cheap thrills. We have to get a little bit of social interaction, and dreaming about sailing, however we can ….. Desperation! ? If things turn around before the end of May I will look forward to seeing you at the Midwest regionals. ? Be well! ? Mark Sunfish 7500 La Crosse, Wisconsin ? ?

Randy, maybe I needed a smiley face. This was my warped sense of sardonic humor. I'm safe at home, without snow. 50° here in Wisconsin.
Maybe I should be arrested. But it would be for a different infraction other than driving while texting/emailing.

Hey sailors? I’m in pentwater Michigan. A group of us are reviving Pentwater Yacht Club Sunfish Fleet 218. We have acquired several Sunfish hulls to be “fleet boats” that can be sailed by non Sunfish owners. Of course, all of the hulls are in need of various parts and pieces. ?If anyone knows of a good source for donated parts or reasonably priced parts, I would appreciate any information.
Thanks Doug Nelson

It's a long but very doable road trip from my home to pick one up. Save quite a bit of trucking expense but of course the cost of fuel and most likely an overnite hotel would cut into that. Southern Maine. I sail on a small lake 1 mile by 1-1/2 mile. Waiting for temperatures routinely above 45F. Last night dropped to ~25F with a frost. ? Stay Healthy, Tim ?

Tasso lake , on the edge of Algonquin Park in Ontario. Still ice on the lake.? I just finished rebuilding a 60’s era boat last fall, but too late to take it out, so I am really looking forward to spring. ? At least the paint may be dry by now.
