Minifish


 

Yes, the rig is a bit high. Attach the halyard higher on the gaff (upper
spar). Also, slide your boom about 4" forward on the gooseneck.

I don't think Minifish have a hiking strap, but hook your feet under the
cockpit edge and lean out! Good luck.

The Minifish has a hiking strap that runs across the cockpit sideways as opposed to the fore-aft strap in Sunfish.?
The configuration is convenient in that it allows the sailor to sit inside and lounge during the long downwind runs (unless the tiller is too long and stabs in the back).
