Best places to sell Sunfish (besides eBay)?

I have a couple Sunfish I'm ready to sell. Both are in need of some work. Priced to sell. I've listed on eBay. Any other ideas in case they don't sell? No trailer. Local pickup only. Craigslist? Boat Mags? Anything online anyone can recommend. I'm based in Maryland. (Not exactly a Sunfish mecca. This is Laser territory.)

I had to sell two sunfish as well, I put on Craigslist and both sold within a week, but I am in Florida,, Hugh

If you are a Facebook user, post them to the Facebook Marketplace. Personally, I've gotten to where I don't really even use craigslist anymore. The advantages to using Facebook are overwhelming being that I'm already a user there.

One other suggestion: you might see if you can donate the boats. Possible candidates would be a local scout troop for merit badge work, local kid's summer camp, high school shop class (to teach fiberglass repairs). I got my Sunfish from a Habitat For Humanity "Re-Store". Apparently they get small boats donated all the time.

Pretty much every one of the 20+ Sunfish we have sold went through Craigslist. I had good luck with facebook marketplace recently with lawnmowers and generators, minimal spammers for sailboats.

I don't like ebay because I want the buyer to see the boat before they buy it.??

what is a good way to determine a reasonable price for a minifish? i have tried looking for comparisons online but there do not seem to be many of these boats for sale

I would say what ever you can get it for, if you find one, sort of like putting a price on a 57 Chevy 2 door if you could find one.

I would compare prices to other locally advertised small sailboats of any brand/type.? I doubt that many people are specifically searching for a Minifish.? FWIW I bought my Minifish a couple of years ago for $700 (very good condition with like-new sail).? I also bought a Minifish for a friend recently for $450 in reasonably good condition (good hull, slightly ratty sail, wood daggerboard and rudder needed refinishing).? These were both in southeast Michigan, I'm guessing that prices vary regionally.

thanks for advice. i did search for similar small sailboats. again only found 2 boats in last 2 years. this is Florida. i guess everyone has/wants large boats. mine is in fairly good shape. no cracks in hull, only small "crackling" on the finish. it comes with all rigging and the sail is almost new (new this year). it also comes with a small home-made (but registered and tagged) trailer. i love this boat but just cannot find time or a good location to sail here in my part of FL

What part of Florida are you in? I'm in Florida also, it is hard to find a beach to play on as they are covered with condos, I remember when beach was public property I sailed a sunfish anywhere, now hard to find a place to launch

From watching the regular sunfish market, I'd say the "sell it" price is $700-1000 with the trailer. Or if you'd rather, a "put it on the market and see if someone rich comes along" price would be $1000-$1500. This is a pretty uneducated opinion, but there you go.

i'm in Inverness. no beach near me at all. i try to sail on local lakes but wind is very shifty

thanks for the suggestion. i will look some more before i list to sell but this gives me an idea.

What do you want for your boat? Do you have a trailer?

I would try sailboatlistings.com
