Next Saturday, May 29th 2004 (Memorial day Weekend) the Portsmouth
Boat Club presents the Merrimac Memorial Regatta. The race is open to
all sail boats 22' and under with a Portsmouth Yardstick Handicap.
If you are not sure what your rating is, you can check at the US
Sailing webpage.
If your boat does not appear on that page, contact the Portsmouth Boat
Club to see if a rating exists.
3 of the same design gets their own class start e.g. 3 lasers= a
laser start. The race will be run off of City Park in Portsmouth, VA.
The skipper's meeting is at 9am and the first gun should be at 10.
Enty fee is $10. Entry forms are available online
and may be submitted
at the skipper's meeting. Following the race there will be a cookout
with hot dogs and hamburgers. A $5.00 doation covers the cookout.
