Yellow wire from T14/12

I am cleaning up the dash wiring harness after cleaning all the grounds.
?
I have numerous print-outs from here, the Samba and other websites of suggestions of what to do with the yellow wire coming from instrument panel at T14/12...ground it somehow. The other end can be connected to the OXS light in pre '89 vanagons have an OXS light.
?
What isn't clear is what to do with this end in 1988-1991 vanagons? This cut end runs to the red fuse panel connector in post '88 vans.
?
It was just dangling free in Freedom. Is this okay or is there a better use?

Hey Duncan.
Attached please find a link to a diagram and related article that illustrates what I do with the T14 wire. ?Hope it helps.
Best,
Brent

Brent,

Yes, I have those instructions but I'm still confused. Am I correct in thinking the (cut at T14/12) yellow wire at B/21 is a ground with a signal from the ECU? I spliced a LED light for codes on the round connector in the engine bay box so I don't need to connect another LED...so it can safely just dangle or be grounded? Thx.

It's the connection from the HP oil pressure sender on the WBX engine to the Dynamic Oil Pressure Monitoring System embedded in the speedometer housing.? It must be grounded to prevent flashing OIL light and buzzer over 2,000 rpm.

Yrs,
David?

My question is poorly articulated.

In Brent's instructions:

T14/12-Y and T14/14-Bl/Bk wires run directly to the respective sensors (o2 mileage and oil hp) with the yellow oil hp controlled by the ECU at the round connector in the black box.

My blue and yellow wires run first to the fuse/relay panel.

Another conflict is with the connection at T14/14. The note indicates "Blu/Blk 14 OX2 sensor (not after 1987)" but I have an '89 with a T14/14-Bl/Bk wire?

Additionally, I'm confused by the color coding: the written instructions have T14/13 = bl/blk & T14/14 = bl/blk but the accompanying photo has them as T14/13 =l/bk and T14/14 = g/bl. Of course, my wire colors differ.

And what happens with the X-cut bl/bk end in the schematic?

My take-away from David's comment is the yellow wire should be grounded at both ends of the splice, right?

It may seem I'm picking on Brent but virtually all of the other sources (Samba, LiMBO and private blogs) are similar to Brent's instructions.

I appreciate ALL sources of info, including the opportunity to ask for clarification here.

I was once deft at a younger age but now it seems I'm just daft so hopefully this makes sense.
