I finally got the engine and transmission mated up last night and installed the starter today. ?What a great feeling to see those two finally together!

Run a ground strap from the alternator and the starter ground to the chassis while you're at it.
 

Good call. I’ve read that the braided flat ground straps are best. I’ll try to locate several (extra intake ground as well).?
