Hi Billy,

 

I have a 90’ Syncro with an EJ25 and I have the exact same RPM issues as Billy. My VSS sensor is working properly and showing close to correct speed on the OBDII reader. I have cleaned all throttle body sensors and and just the TPS to .500. Any other advice??

All I know is this:? whenever you fiddle around and cleanup stuff, the Engine Computer has to adjust to new parameters.? Right?? Doesn't this make sense?? With a mild cleanup, computer will slowly move backwards.? With? a major cleanup like total IACV and Throttle Body, best to just go back to original engine and computer parameters.? Same thing happened to my on my Toyota Highlander after Throttle Body cleansing.? yeah, it took a while for that computer to comprehend and readjust itself.? By design...the computer will only allow for incremental adjustments..and this is a good thing.
