EZ30 Wiring Harness

Where are people getting their bulkhead section of the wiring harness from? While Car-part.com lists engine harness, doesn’t list them, and eBay sellers seem to be offering new And expensive Subaru harnesses.

Haven't done any ez30s yet but done a few 2.5....

For DIY -

I'd imagine the easiest is from a complete donor.? A u pull it type yard could be another option

Re carpart, even if it's not listed Id bet the sellers could provide it if you call them

For all some, ready to plugin -

Id call Jeff at AutoVentures in Wisconsin about having him make what you need

I did an EZ30 harness conversion last year. Harness was pulled from our mechanic's father's donor Subie on their back lot. Apparently, controlled? pre-deployment of the air bags was entertaining.

To my knowledge, Busaru, Small Cars Performance and Van Cafe offer solutions for this aspect of your project.
Mick Longley from Busaru published a very helpful series of YouTube video if you ever decide to make your own wiring system. I am actually working on this aspect of my project for a 2011 EJ25 and it is not that bad, I should say fun and a bit challenging. Take a look to Busaru web site, there is plenty of good informations there. Also, I would say that the work to complete a EZ30 wiring harness is probably very similar has what is needed for EJ20 or EJ25, same rules to follow, same logic.

First post here. I’m preparing to convert my 89 Westy with a 2.5L naturally aspirated SOHC from a 2003 Legacy. I pulled the harness and it was more of a challenge for me than pulling the engine. The main harness is like a root from a big tree; a main body of wires with tendrils going here, there, and everywhere. Getting to the harness against the firewall was the hardest part for me. The donor was an automatic, so possibly more wires because of that. I’ve sent my harness to Jeff at AutoVentures for conversion. I wouldn’t even think of doing that part myself.?

There are YouTube videos on how to do just about anything including Subaru harness harvesting and swap wiring. Busaru.com is a good resource if you don't want to spend the big bucks. 03 harnesses are still pretty straightforward.
