DIY power feed for mill ?

 

Finally got my mill in my machine room & under power . Wondering if
anyone here has come up with a DIY powerfeed that could be used on a mill .

I did a X axis power feed on my XD-2 minimill. Lots of videos on u-tube. I just used a windshield wiper motor, power supply, and a speed controller ordered from various places on the internet. It was back in 2023 so I don't remember exactly what I bought from where. I made all the brackets and a drive mechanism to engage and disengage the feed. It works great.?

I found this video that shows a power feed using a wiper motor. ?It allows for a quick disconnect so the hand wheels can be used.
