Okay, I just found this group and joined to make sure I get all of the
new chapters (just like most of my other groups).

I just hope that I can actually read them. Too many Doc files are
almost hopelessly corrupted.

In any case, I've always assumed that the Wizengamot was the
traditional government, but that the Ministry was responsible for
enforcing the secrecy of the Wizarding World and assumed supremacy
after the decision to go completely underground in 1692.
