Yesterday I learned something new that I never even heard about before and I wanted to share it with all of you in case you didn't know about it already.
It is about a Federal holiday called Peace Officers Memorial day which is celebrated on the 15th of May and supposedly has been since 1962 when JFK signed it into law. The one sad thing about it is it is not a public Holiday so nobody seems to know about it. At least nobody I asked did.

Also for those of you who have friends or family who are serving as Police officers or have served and passed on or retired, please tell them that I, Connie Green, thank them for standing up to keep all of us safe, even though they knew they were putting their lives at risk. Also tell them that I pray that God will keep them all as safe as possible while they do their duty.
