OT: any crafters in the house?

Hi all,
In case I can toss someone here a bit of business this season..or a small business you like.
Seeking a knight's sword or shield, small enough to be a keepsake, like a key chain. Large enough to be engraved.
gift is for a guy , and my idea is more Traditional European, instead of say Japanese.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Karen

I don't know about crafters, but you might look into specialty letter-openers. I have two fashioned like US Navy officer's swords. One even has a leather scabbard. Other than that, I'm aware of (but not familiar with) a community that does fancy costuming for Barbie and similar dolls, which includes making mail and plate armor for Ken (and probably Barbie, as well); they may have weaponry available.

If there are no one who can craft them on this or the other groups you have asked, have you looked at ESTY or even just seeing what jewelers and other metal-smiths that come up if you search for a sword and/or shield engrave-able key-chains. Or if you want to see/hold it before you buy you could look at hobby shops. I know I saw something that looks like what you are looking for (not sure about if it was engrave-able) at a Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section as charms for bracelets, pendents, key and watch fops.

have emails into some local Toronto stores yes.
I would prefer holding the item, to insure it will be engraveable.
Or to buy from someone who can paint a solid picture.
Spent a few hours going in a circle etsy wise this afternoon as well.
