Honestly the take on so many things are new and different from rare magic from Uganda to the diary etc. being managed by three badass female Hogwarts students..and I am still reading.

I am so appreciative of fichub that I could cry.
Truly wish this writer was posting somewhere I could tell them how talented I find this story. I keep getting the feeling that pit of vowels flamers might have clipped their wings a bit.
Enjoy,
Karen

How would you know if a writer was male or female if they don't post something to that affect on their page? There are plenty of writers who's nom de plume is genderless or reflects a different gender then the writer's actual one. And then there are the nom de plumes that a single name but are actually a group of 2 or more writers.

Fine question.
In this case, because of author's notes in the story itself.
They indicate taking their user name from their child's name instead, and share their gender as a woman in another note as well.
would not have commented accordingly without information supporting the claim.
although that reminds me of something I read once, which I wondered about factually. That most fanfiction writers are women.
Like you, I remain curious how the claim was established.
