I just wanted to say that a possible posting site for your story could
be Fictionalley.org. They have it said up with Schnoogle.com for the
novel length ( where your story would fit in), Astronomy Tower.org for
the romance fics, Riddikulus.org for the humor fics, and The Dark
Arts.org for everything else.

Anyway, it's a great place to host fics because they only allow the
very best to be posted there and the expect good grammer and spelling
and canon accuracy (to an extent). So your fic would be right at home
on the site. Just a thought.
