the radio. Bob bad news I hate to say I was in the Navy for 6 years and
never lost the accent now I live in the East End of London and I
still have
traces of it. SO that forces me to ask which borough ?? I was SI and
worked
NYC EMS for 9 yrs. BTW Love Sunset and the others. Ohhh I definately
agree
with you on HBP.
Doc
Hey JO?? WHO WROTE HBP ?? Emmerson from Mugglenet??
Doug,
To answer yer question, I'm from Flushing Queens, spent 35 years
living in the city, 12 of which as a consultant to the USN on ASW
topics. and another 3 as a computer security consultant working in
manhattan.
The New York Accent is like a badge of honor. It's something I refuse
to give up, especially when I'm surrounded by transplanted
Californians living in Idaho.
These poor people out here believe Pizza hut is pizza? OH PLEASE!!
And what they sell as a bagel? Its an unsweetened donut for pete's sake!

Ah civilization.... I yearn for a ride on the #7 to Times Square and
a trip to the Carnegie Deli. :D

Has anyone else noticed that when people talk about "home" the first
thing they mention is food? For New Yorkers it's always the pizza and
bagels and such, for Californians it's usually something to do with
produce (best in the world by the way) for New Englanders it's the
seafood, and for Midwesterners and Texans it's a grumble about not
being able to find a good steak which usually sounds a lot like
where's the beef?

Vern, who sees lot's of interesting patterns, like the funny things on
my padded walls.

What, you no longer live in an English-speaking country? Or on planet Earth, for that matter?

I can see where you are coming from. Of course, Sydney doesnt have
it's own 'style' of food like say, New York. I missed the Thai
takeaway, 3am Yeeros and decent coffee:)

Cheers

But Dave....You live in Calif. now and we have the slickest corrupt
politicians on earth. They just don't want anyone to know since it
would hurt their public image and they might not get the move deal
they were aiming for.

Treck's right Texas does have both of the Bush's though isn't florida
a close second?

Looks toward Texas & Bush country...

I don't think you do.

Which also has a Bush.

I live in New Jersey, and I maintain that you absolutely cannot beat
our state for unsavory politicking, even without a Bush. *sigh* And
the governorship's up for sale again this fall ...
