I'm so sorry for your loss. I do believe in an afterlife and know that there is no pain. I and several other family members have died and come back (still not sure if that's really bad or really good luck) but none of us are scared of it anymore. She can see now, she doesn't feel pain and she will always be in your heart. Holding on to that keeps me going many times.
