Junior Principal Investigator/Field Director

Weintraut & Associates, Inc., seeks a Junior Principal Investigator/Field Director?to join its cultural resource team in the central Indiana office. The qualified candidate will preferably have a Master’s Degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology, but candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree coupled with sufficient experience directing field and laboratory operations will be considered. Individuals with field experience in the Ohio Valley region and a desire to advance their career path will be given preference.

Responsibilities include:
? Leading Phase I surveys and/or supervising crew chiefs on larger projects
? Serving as field director during Phase II and III excavations
? Writing and editing reports
? Conducting QAQC on peer’s documents;
? Assist in artifact analysis, supervised laboratory procedures and cataloging
? Providing leadership/mentoring for younger staff
