We are seeking a full-time Archaeologist with a master’s degree to join us. We work for a variety of clients, mostly within Georgia but occasionally in surrounding states. When not conducting fieldwork, you could work from home or in our office in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities:

·????????Conduct field projects and oversee field crews for all phases of fieldwork;

·????????Conduct historical research, data analysis, NRHP site evaluations, and reporting;

·????????Consult with clients and agencies;

·????????Frequent travel within Georgia and occasionally to surrounding states.

Qualifications:

·????????Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field;

·????????A minimum of one year of previous work experience in Georgia and/or surrounding states;

·????????Strong leadership, teamwork, and supervision skills;

·????????Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork in various settings;

·????????Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·??????? Experience with GIS and familiarity with current and emerging technologies;

·????????Valid driver's license and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferences:

·???????? Georgia residence

·???????? Both historic and precontact archaeology experience

·? ?????? Artifact laboratory analysis/processing skills with historic artifact ID background

·???????? Good photography skills?
