Cultural Heritage Research Services, Inc. (CHRS) has an immediate opening
for a full-time historian. CHRS is a private historic preservation and
archaeology consulting firm headquartered 15 miles northwest of
Philadelphia, with over 18 years of experience working on a variety of
projects in the mid-Atlantic region. The position entails working closely
with and supporting the investigations of CHRSs preservationists and
archaeologists. Applicants should possess a demonstrated ability and
desire to conduct site-specific historic research, and to translate that
research into clear, readable narrative. Because the position is writing
intensive, applicants asked for interviews will be expected to submit
writing samples. Applicants should have an M.A. in public history, art
history, architectural history, American studies, historic preservation,
anthropology, folklore, or a related field; or a B.A. in one of these
fields is addition to relevant experience in historical research and/or
