SEARCH has immediate openings for Part-Time, As Needed (on-call) Archaeological Technicians to support upcoming archaeological surveys and excavation projects throughout the United States. Under direct supervision, an Archaeological Technician performs and supports archaeological surveys, assessments, monitoring, and data recovery projects using techniques appropriate to each task. The primary duty is to provide field support to cultural resource projects. This role requires basic knowledge of archaeological field survey, excavation, and laboratory techniques.?

Archaeological Technicians have the opportunity to work throughout the Unites States, and occasionally internationally, as additional projects may be offered after completion of initial assignments.?Rotation schedules depend on project needs but are typically 10/4s, 6/1s or 5/2s.?Starting hourly wage ranges from $20-$22 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.?Travel time is paid, including mid-project travel for breaks.?Travel days are considered part of the rotation.?Lodging is single room accommodations and SEARCH pays per diem (no receipts needed) at a usual rate of $50/night and $25 on demobilization days. Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field.
• Completion of an accredited archaeological field school and six months of field experience (phase I work experience preferred).
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the job post.
• Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
