Archaeological Project Manager, Western States
Espinoza Consulting Services (ECS) is accepting resumes for an Archaeological Project Manager, Western States. The ideal candidate will have solid consulting experience in the Southwest, Great Basin, and/or Southern California. A remote work location is acceptable, but the candidate selected for this position must reside in the western states. Responsibilities will include managing and coordinating archaeological fieldwork, budget management, and communication with clients and agencies. This position will include some travel and fieldwork. Compensation is negotiable and will be commensurate with capabilities and experience. This is a full-time salaried position with health and retirement benefits.?
Minimum Requirements:
  • MA in anthropology or archaeology with 5 years experience managing Cultural Resource Management projects in the Western United States including the Southwest, Great Basin, and/or Southern California.
  • An extensive work history as a Project Archaeologist or Field Director involving field crew management.
  • Must possess a clear understanding of NHPA, NAGPRA, and NEPA and their respective implementing regulations.
  • Must have extensive experience with projects undertaken for compliance review under Section 106 of the NHPA, NEPA, and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including experience with Native American consultation.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Clean driver’s license. Employment is also subject to drug and alcohol testing (including cannabis). Background check may be necessary on certain projects.
