Heritage Consultants, LLC a Connecticut-based cultural resources management company, is seeking several Seasonal Field Archaeologists for upcoming projects work throughout New England, New York, and beyond. Our company has a backlog of fieldwork that will last throughout 2025. Fieldwork will include Pedestrian Surveys, Phase I Surveys, Phase II Testing Projects, and large Phase III Data Recovery Projects for a variety of different client types.

Qualified candidates must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field;
• Completed an accredited archaeological field school;
• Experience performing archaeological survey and excavation;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;?
• Ability to work well with others and be a proactive part of a project team;
  Detailed note taking skills;
• A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation;
• Ability to operate GPS units and navigate using USGS maps/aerial photography preferred.

Project Schedules:

Project schedules may vary from 5-days a week to 10 day on/4 days off. Travel time to and from project areas will be paid. Single occupancy hotel rooms are the standard on all projects away from the home office.

Compensation:

?

Starting pay ranges from $19 to $21 per hour depending upon experience. Per diem of $45 per day is standard; no receipts required. Personnel who meet or exceed performance expectations may be eligible for full time employment.
