ADOPTED - KAI - F1 FEMALE - MIAMI BEACH, FL
ADOPTED - KAI - F1 FEMALE - MIAMI BEACH, FL THANK YOU TO ALL THE GREAT OFFERS, IT TOOK US A LONG TIME TO GET THROUGH ALL THE APPLICATIONS BUT KAI IS NOW IN HER NEW HOME! Kai is an amazing 2 year old F1 spayed female Savannah. Her owner reports her to be every bit as wonderful as an F1 should be, but with the difficulties that can arise that have lead to them seeking a new home for her. So not only is she friendly, sociable, playful and loving....she is stubborn, needy and "acts out" by either chewing toys or peeing inappropriately/marking. Kai has been raised with young children and is said to be friendly, but we would be concerned placing her as a 2.5 year old F1 with very young children as she is likely to be a scary hissy cat transitioning to her new home. Kai's new home should understand the additional challenge of an F1 compared to other generations of Savannahs. We need you to be able to express to us what that means to you beyond they look cooler. Experience with F1 or F2 Savannahs would be a plus. Kai might be able to live with other pets, but as she has been raised as an only pet a new home should plan on a lengthy introduction. We understand that this is a really attractive Savannah and most people's dream cat. At this time we are not offering shipping, please don't offer to pay for this it simply isn't something the surrendering owner is going to do for you. If you think that your home is perfect for Kai, please email info@... with your location and the reasons why you are ready for an F1 Savannah just like Kai. Her adoption fee will be $400 but we anticipate that we will receive a lot of offers so please be patient with us!

ADOPTED - ONYX -F4 - MUNDELEIN, IL
ADOPTED - ONYX -F4 - MUNDELEIN, IL ONYX IS IN HIS NEW HOME AND SETTLED IN AMAZINGLY FAST TOO!!! Onyx is a lonely-hearted 6 year old F4 neutered male located in Mundelein, IL. He desperately wants a human(s) to give him the love and attention he craves. Onyx has lived all his life in this home, but as he grew up it appears his relationship with the two other cats in the household soured, with no reported incident the owner reports that Onyx reacts very defensively and anxiously around them. They also brought a puppy in along the way without any introductory process and that exacerbated the situation. Onyx has been urinating outside the litterbox. After trying some options like larger litterboxes, and more locations, they then separated Onyx to his own room. Unfortunately, this leads to Onyx being upset at being away from the humans and the litterbox avoidance has continued. His owners believe he needs to be an only pet. Onyx is reported to be very loving and affectionate with people, so a home where there is someone home for most of the time would suit him best. It is entirely possible that the new home without stressors may mean his inappropriate urination issue disappears, but a new home should be ready to work on that. Onyx has never lived with children, and given that the urination issue seems linked to possible anxiety/stress we would recommend no babies or small children. Onyx might well love an older child or teenager that wishes to give him his sought-after attention though. We think that Onyx would be best as an only cat from the owner's report, but it is possible that one other calm, unreactive cat might work with proper patient introduction. If you think Onyx would make a perfect companion for your home, please email info@... with your location and a description of your household and why Onyx would fit in there. His adoption fee will be $200.

PLACED - Foster home needed in Napa, California
****Foster home needed: Napa, California If you are able to foster a beautiful F3 male Savannah cat for us, please send an email describing you and your home to: info@... Zeus is a gorgeous F3 boy looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home that can give him the time and attention he needs and desires! Zeus is 5.5 years young and neutered; healthy and is current on vaccines. He has no dietary issues. Zeus uses a litter box, but has been spraying near the front door of his current home. This is most likely due to the presence of outdoor cats, dogs or other animals outside his current home. We find that very often, cats that are spraying in a previous home never do again, and once any stressors are removed. Zeus is very playful and friendly! He enjoys a cat wheel, going for walks on a harness and leash, or in a pet stroller. He likes to chase bugs and moths and play with crinkly paper bags. He is described as very active, talkative and likes to sleep with his human(s). At this time, Zeus needs a home with one or two adults who can give him lots of time; with no other pets and no small children. A home with a quiet, respectful-to-pets and older teen may be considered. After assessment by a foster home, we may find Zeus may be comfortable in an adoptive home with children and/or other pets and with slow and proper introduction. Zeus is a door-dasher, so a foster home should have a plan or system in place to prevent him escaping outdoors. Once escaping outside, Zeus may roam far and wide and may be hard to catch. A cat-escape-proof catio or enclosure would be ideal for Zeus so he can spend time safely outside! Shipping is not available. FYI: Our foster homes always have first chance to adopt a rescue Savannah they are fostering for us! If you are able to foster this beautiful F3 Savannah for us, please send an email describing you and your home to: info@... Thank you!

ADOPTED - SETI - F2 MALE - MAGALIA, CA
ADOPTED - SETI - F2 MALE - MAGALIA, CA SETI HAS ADAPTED FAST TO HIS NEW HOME AND IS ENJOYING GETTING MORE ATTENTION AND LESS FEAR FROM HIS NEW HUMAN. Seti is an estimate 3-4 year old neutered F2 male Savannah currently in Magalia, CA. His former owners lost their home in the Paradise CA fire of 2018 that decimated that town. A friend of their's took in Seti and his F4 brother, but subsequently the husband of the owner developed cancer and rather than rebuild they made the hard decision to move in with a daughter in NV. There was no room for additional pets. The son of the foster home has adopted the F4 but Seti needs an understanding home. Seti is a large Savannah, and this makes him attractive to many but has disconcerted the foster. She worries about picking him up (so he has not been picked up in 2 years) and allowing him around her younger children (8 year old) despite no evidence of aggression. Seti hisses at the multiple other cats of the household (whom he probably wasn't properly introduced to) but tolerates them all, he has been tolerant of the elderly small dog in the home also. The house has an outdoor enclosure that he is very fond of, so a new home with the ability to offer that would be ideal. Seti was reported by the former owner to be up to date on vaccines. He is neutered and perfect with the litterbox, he is accustomed to a large plastic tote box with wood pellet litter. He was also raised on a raw meat diet and refuses commercial canned and kibble food. Therefore a new home would need to be prepared to offer a properly balanced raw diet or purchase that (there are commercial options). Seti is reported to be very hissy, but has never been reported to lash out. The current home is afraid of him hence we don't know if he is at all likely to do anything. He climbs onto the person's bed at night and refuses to allow other cats on the bed whilst there. He has never attacked the other cats though. He loves to be petted but we do not know how he is being picked up. The adoptive home would need to be able to drive to Magalia, CA with a large dog crate (so that he can be easily crated). If you think you would love to offer Seti a home, and your household might be a great fit, please email info@... and tell us your location, about your household, and why Seti would be happy with you. His adoption fee will be $200.

ADOPTED - SOUGEN - F4 - SAN ANTONIO, TX
Adopted - SOUGEN - F4 - SAN ANTONIO, TX SOUGEN IS IN HIS NEW HOME, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE GREAT OFFERS! Sougen is a 6 year old neutered F4 male from Thomwren cattery. He is declawed (please no helpful comments or advice). Sougen was shipped to the owner and arrived scared and untouchable, this did not improve so it is possible he was never properly socialized. Due to rough play with other cats as a juvenile, his owner declawed him. As far as we can determine the timeline, about a year later he started pooping outside the litterbox, and a couple years after that also peeing outside the box. This frustrated the owner, after trying new kinds of litterboxes and litter, she built an outdoor enclosure where he's lived for two years now. She has decided that this is not workable and either we find a new home for Sougen or she will seek out a sanctuary for him. Sougen needs a home willing to really work on his litterbox issues. It seems he did once use a litterbox, we fear that maybe the declaw has caused issues that has resulted in pain and avoidance. The new home would need to work with us and possibly a feline behaviorist to try to resolve this issue. He is not very handleable so that is an added complication, it will take time to earn his trust. We at Savannah Rescue have seen many cases improve with a home that is prepared for the long haul, allowing the cat to make the moves. Sougen is said to be more comfortable with older children (6 years and over), he also lived with other cats. When turfed out into the enclosure though, he fought with any cat that was brought out to visit him. Obviously, a lengthy introduction would be anticipated if there are other cats. We do not think he has been around dogs. He is said to eat a urinary diet (kibble) as he has had crystals in the past. No current vet work, hence he needs a health check. Lastly, Sougen lives in an illegal location, if anyone in Texas applies please address specifically the requirements of your county. Texas has a DWA(dangerous wild animal) law that requires a permit, you will need to have written exemption from your county if you claim you do not. We want Sougen into a good place willing to work with his issues, we are happy to consider a foster home given the need for vetting and working on his litterbox issues. If you prefer adoption his adoption fee would be $200. Please email us at info@... if you are interested and please address all the issues stated above. Shipping is not possible.

Courtesy Post -Salt Lake City, UT - this cat is not with Savannah Rescue!
Courtesy Post -Salt Lake City, UT - this cat is not with Savannah Rescue! Contact https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-interest/ ---------------------------------- Freddy is a one-and-one-half year old Savannah mix. His Dad is a Savannah cat and his Mom is a DSH. Freddy is a high-energy, winsome guy! He never runs out of energy, so he’s looking for a home that will keep him busy. At his original home, he lived with children under the age of eight, four cats, and two cat-friendly dogs. His family reported that their son was not handling Freddy properly, and Freddy clawed his face. It was then that they decided that Freddy should go to a home without children, so that Freddy won’t feel like he needs to defend himself. In Foster, we learned that he does well with literally everyone! He loves to play tag with the foster’s dog, and he does not mind the other cats or even the children. The Foster’s children were raised around cats, and have been taught proper handling techniques - so there have been no incidents of scratching or biting. Freddy uses his litter box faithfully, however he does get a little over-enthusiastic with it - he has a tendency to scatter litter everywhere so he’ll need a tall sided litter box (like the one we recommend on our website). He is very good about using a scratching post, rather than the furniture (yes he has all of his claws). Freddy loves people, squeaky mouse toys, catnip, cat scratchers, attention (on his terms), and cuddling on the bed at night. He absolutely loves huge cat towers and flies up and down them like a bolt of lightning. His Foster reports that she is now able to pick him up and hold him - briefly. She admits she’s had difficulty taking photos of him because he’s a BLUR! He never stops moving (unless he’s asleep of course). Both his Foster and his original owner also report that Freddy suffers from separation anxiety. If he can’t be in the same room as you are, he will vocalize and claw at the door. He hates closed doors! The Savannah side of Freddy is definitely dominant! Freddy likes to open doors, play in water, climb on high surfaces and chew on cords. His new family will need to be experienced cat owners with prior Bengal or Savannah experience who are able to keep doors locked at all times. It’s worth noting that Freddy’s Foster couldn’t figure out why her son was eating so many Goldfish crackers… and then they figured out it was FREDDY. They caught him in the act! Human snacks will need to be locked down! Freddy is neutered, vaccinated, and received a clean bill of health last month from his Veterinarian. If you have the experience and time to love Freddy - please fill out our Adoption Interest form https://bengalrescue.org/adopt/adoption-interest/

ADOPTED - ZEUS - F2 MALE - CANYON LAKE, CA
PENDING - ZEUS - F2 MALE - CANYON LAKE, CA I am Zeus, an incredible 1.5 yr old F2. You may remember me from earlier this year. Unfortunately I was returned to the rescue after a few months and have been settling back into my foster home. I have had a pretty rocky start to life so I am not a cuddler (yet), nor do I really enjoy being touched. I do enjoy sleeping in bed with my fosters and I steal the couch. I’ll stay next to you and follow you around the house. I just ask that you take it slow when touching me. I have some vision problems that prevent me seeing well out of my right eye. Surgery can’t help as this was due to a birth defect, but honestly it doesn’t stop me much from playing, A LOT. I really enjoy my fosters' younger cats and will ignore the older ones. They also have an older dog, I don’t mind him because he leaves me alone but I will occasionally lightly tab his nose as I walk by. My perfect home would not have young children, not a busy home, would have at least one younger active cat to play with, and would have lots of high places for me to hangout. I may need extra help when getting down. Bright colors on light objects and closer steps help me get down. I am a very smart and vocal boy. My foster mom says I have the most unique sounds. When I do talk, I want something. You’ll easily learn what I want or need. Since I was returned once, the rescue is going to be extra picky to ensure I am in the proper home. I require a lot of time, patience and understanding. I need to gain your trust and have you really get to know me and my needs. Loud, busy homes are not good for me, if you are gone a lot, I am miserable. I love playing with feather toys and other easy going cats. I am litterbox perfect, a very loud talker and friendly to be around. I am a stunning sweet boy who is easy to love and I’ll entertain you all day. My fosters think I am pretty perfect, I just need the right home for me. I am special in every way in the right circumstances. If you have questions about me, please e-mail questions to my foster mom before filling out an application. contact Debbie at debbie.cocanour@... . If you are sure your home is perfect for Zeus, then email info@... with your location and description of your household and how it would fit Zeus' specific needs in a home. His adoption fee will be $200, and he cannot go on a plane (he had some ear infection issues in young life and the specialist is not sure there isn't a defect involved despite resolving the infection).

ADOPTED - SASHA - F2 FEMALE - REPUBLIC, MO
ADOPTED - SASHA - F2 FEMALE - REPUBLIC, MO SASHA IS SETTLING INTO HER NEW HOME, THANKS! ---------------------------------------------- Sasha is a black (melanistic) 8 year old F2 Savannah spayed female. She is declawed front and back (please no comments on that, it is what she is). Sasha has been a valued pet for 8 years, but occasional urinating outside the box has happened since the owners had a human baby, and the owner is convinced it is jealousy. Emails also suggest that another resident cat was inappropriately urinating and thus Sasha started around then. As they intend to have more children, the owner feels that Sasha would be happier in a new home where she got more attention. As to the home that Sasha needs, Sasha has been inappropriately peeing, so a new home needs to be prepared for that challenge. Sasha might benefit from Cat Attract litter or other measures to make a declawed cat more comfortable with a litterbox. Knowledge of good enzyme cleaners would be useful. Sasha is reported to have hidden from children visiting the house before the arrival of their own baby. She does live with other pets, another cat and dogs, Sasha is reported to ignore the dogs and has a mixed relationship with the other cat. The owner feels Sasha prefers a quieter household than the one she is currently in, so we wouldn't advocate a large busy household for her. If you think that your home would be perfect for Sasha, please email us at info@... with your location and a description of your household and why it would be a good fit for Sasha. Her adoption fee would be $200 and you would need to be able to pick her up in Republic, MO.

ADOPTED - F2 - NISMO - CANYON LAKE, CA
ADOPTED - NISMO IS IN HIS NEW HOME NOW Nismo has been in foster care for some months working on his issues with guidance of an amazing feline behaviorist vet. His foster mom describes him best: "I am Nismo, a very smart, lovable, Handsome 1 1/2 yr old F2. I am currently being fostered in Canyon Lake, Ca. I am a very active boy who needs a lot of attention and play time. I will follow you around the house and try and help you in your daily tasks. If you are not home a lot, or have kids, I am not the right kitty for you. When I get bored or over stimulated by petting, I will nibble on you for more attention. My fosters have been working with me and I have come along way. I started out kind of aggressive (mostly towards men) but have come a long ways and now adore my foster daddy. I will still need patience, love and most of all, your time. My ideal home would not have children under 16, my new family would be home often to shower me with attention, would have at least one younger active cat and/or dog to play with, and would have lots of high places for me to hangout. My foster family has cats that are older and younger, I personally get along better with the younger ones so I can play with them. I can be a bit much for the older kitties. Although I can get over stimulated, I will rub up against you, walk between your legs , jump on your lap, and give you lots of head butts, after all, I am a total lover. My fosters will tell you my signs of being over stimulated when you come meet me. I am a fantastic kitty just looking for the right home who will love me, be patient and kind to me. Previous Savannah experience is a must with me." If you think your home just right for Nismo, please email info@... with your location and a description of your household and why it would be a good fit. His adoption fee will be $200. As the fosters would like to be able to demonstrate Nismo's signs of over-stimulation, he will not be shipped and you will need to be able pick up in person. https://youtu.be/YzNNEVfddYY

ADOPTED - 9 YO F7 SBT MALE AZRAEL - ORINDA, CA
2
PLACED - 9 YO F7 SBT MALE AZRAEL - ORINDA, CA AZRAEL IS IN HIS NEW HOME NOW!!! Azrael's adoption was pending, but renovation work has resulted in a change of mind by the adopter. Azrael is so disappointed! Azrael is a healthy 9 year old Savannah boy located temporarily in Orinda, CA while he waits for his forever home. Azrael's owners went to all the effort to bring him with them when they moved back to the US from the UK (hence his breeder cannot take him back), but decided after having a human baby that they no longer had the time for him. Please no comments on this, it is what it is. At this time, Azrael is staying with the owner's mother until a new home is found. Azrael has lived most of his life as an only pet, hence he likely would be delighted to stay as such. He is content with that life, he is reported to nap a lot, but loves play in short periods (5 minutes) and is fond of watching out windows and playing in cardboard boxes. He loves all people, small children included. He is very social even with strangers! During the export process, it seems that Azrael stayed in a relative's home for about 6 months with a young cat. Probably due to a lack of appropriate introduction, he and the young cat did not get along. Any contact with dogs has been fearful on Azrael's part, but again we do not think proper gradual introductions were performed. So whilst we think Azrael would be a great only pet, we also think that he might adapt to a home with one other cat or dog, if a gradual introduction was done. Azrael is up to date with vaccines (FVRCP, FeLV and Rabies), and is available for an adoption fee of $200 to a home within driving distance. If you would like to offer Azrael a great forever home, please email info@... and tell us about your household and how it would be a good fit for him, as well as your location.

ADOPTED - EDWARD - ROCKFORD, MI
PENDING - EDWARD - ROCKFORD, MI Edward is a young (estimated about a year old) brown spotted tabby and white nonstandard Savannah neutered male. He is part of the "Davison Ten" we took in recently from a deplorable situation. Edward has adapted quickly to the foster home, never once showing any aggression to the resident cat and after initial hissing easily tolerates the dog (collie) and is even known to rub against him now. He's been 100% with the litterbox since arrival, he does dig deep and bury exuberantly. He needs to pee with his front paws out of the litter so no covered box for him please. He's been very vocal when wanting food, play, reassurance. He will steal food off your plate and he loves his meals (good nutrition being new to him). He's a monkey and acrobat and has reached places their cat never has. You do need to secure breakables on shelving around him. While a home with other cats and dogs seem just fine and maybe even preferable for Edward, the foster does not have children to test him with. His tendency to use his claws in play means that they suggest no small children but older children should be okay. Edward has been resisting being picked up, but with time that likely will improve. Still that makes claw trimming a challenge so a new owner should consider that. Edward was initially very hissy to the husband in the home, with some treats and play this has improved but he does seem to prefer women. If you think that Edward would fit great into your home, and you are within driving distance of Rockford MI, his adoption fee would be $200. Please email info@... with your location and a description of your household to start this process.

RIP - F2 - NALA -HAMILTON, VA
RIP - F2 - NALA -HAMILTON, VA IN A HEARTBREAKING TWIST, NALA COLLAPSED AND WAS RUSHED TO THE VET, SHE WAS IN HEART AND KIDNEY FAILURE AND THE FOSTER, VET AND OUR RESCUE TEAM MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO EUTHANIZE. SHE PASSED IN HER FOSTER'S ARMS BEING SUNG TO. ------------------------------------ NALA IS NOW IN HER NEW FOSTER HOME Nala is a 7 year old spayed F2 female from an unknown breeder. She was dumped at a shelter with Jango (the Bengal male we have listed) as a "bonded pair" but it appears they aren't friends at all. Nala was unspayed when we received her, so this was done along with vaccinations. She is extremely timid and scared, she will hiss, growl and lunge if you come too close. Her temporary foster is not able to work with her as she probably needs, and has suggested a quiet home with less cats. She feels that she may be able to be introduced to one or two other cats. The important thing to note with Nala is that she may never warm up to humans, we simply do not know if she was ever friendly to humans. We have some information that she was living in a pet home, but no information on how she was as a pet. The home did have a dog so there is likely potential that with proper introductions she would be fine with a chill dog. No babies or children, her tendency to feel threatened could result in scratches. Because Nala is a difficult placement, we are happy to discuss fostering versus adopting. If adopting her fee would be $200. If you feel that your home is quiet enough for Nala's needs, and you have the patience to give her space, and the ability to allow that she might never be pettable, please email us at info@... and tell us more about your home. You need to be within driving distance of Hamilton, VA, so please include your location in that email.

ADOPTED - MONTY PYTHON - BLUE F2 MALE - LOUISVILLE, GA
ADOPTED - MONTY PYTHON - BLUE F2 MALE - LOUISVILLE, GA MONTY IS SETTLING INTO HIS NEW HOME IN A LEGAL LOCATION, THANKS FOR THE OFFERS! Monty Python is a 6 year old blue spotted F2 neutered male, from Savannah Pride cattery (Victoria Johnsonbaugh has been contacted and is not taking responsibility for him). He is temporarily located in Louisville, GA. Due to Covid, the owner retreated to a family residence and has been unable to afford Monty's upkeep. He eats a prescription diet for urinary crystals that after an initial case of crystals have kept his condition stable. He is not happy at the increased number of people and needs a quieter stable home. Be aware, Savannahs are not legal in GA hence he does need to leave that state. From what we have been able to learn, Monty is a singular feline. His owner has him toilet trained pretty completely. She says that he has never used a litterbox and only uses the toilet. He is highly attuned with her and pees when she does etc. Unfortunately, when she leaves on a trip, he uses the floor...I assume as his routine is so disrupted. Our suggestion would be to offer a litterbox initially with Cat Attract litter and work from there. Monty is apparently strongly attached to his human. She reports he is scared of men and hisses at her children. We feel that a home with a single female would obviously be a plus, but definitely a home without small children (under8 years of age). Monty is said to be very affectionate, cuddly and talkative with his human. One picture we have of him seems to show him wearing a harness outdoors so we can assume he is comfortable on a leash. Shipping is not an option (Covid restrictions have made this even more impossible), so a home would need to be willing to drive to Louisville, GA and take Monty home. His adoption fee will be $200, please email us at info@... and tell us why your home would be great for Monty!

ADOPTED - KACHINA - CHAUSIE/SAVANNAH MIX - CORNWALL, NY
ADOPTED - KACHINA - CHAUSIE/SAVANNAH MIX - CORNWALL, NY KACHINA HAS REACHED HER NEW HOME! Kachina is a sweet spayed female currently located in Cornwall, NY. She was sold to the owners as an F6 Savannah by Junglespots cattery, who are not taking Kachina back. We did however discover that she is more complicated in heritage, her mother is an F2 Chausie (Jungle cat hybrid) and her father an F4 Savannah. Hence Kachina would more accurately be called an F3 Chausie/Savannah mix. Due to this complicating factor, Kachina needs to live outside NY state. Kachina also needs a home by the 23rd July as her owners are moving to yet another illegal location. They will be driving NY to GA to TX though, so have offered to deliver Kachina anywhere along that route. Kachina is said to be very friendly and affectionate, she is reported to be good with other cats (with proper introduction), dogs and even young children/babies! She is however reported to mark/spray when upset or reportedly after being "punished". She will pee on clothes left on the floor too. The owner reports that she prefers dogs over cats, and it seems that she exhibits jealousy of other cats having the attention she wants so might prefer being an only cat. I will put additional pictures in the comments, if you would like to offer Kachina a home, please email info@... and let us know why your home would be a great fit for her. Her adoption fee will be $200.

COURTESY POST - MAMA/DAUGHTER PAIR - NY STATE
COURTESY POST - MAMA/DAUGHTER PAIR - NY STATE This is a courtesy post to help this cat find a home, it is not in Savannah Rescue's care. Please email timncat@... to learn more. -------------------------------- For those of you who get the reference, we have a bit of an Eliza Dolittle situation here (google it)! Last winter this cat appeared at our backyard feeding station. Her distinctive ears and highly sentient demeanor set her apart from all the other cats that frequent our property. (I said to my husband, WHAT on earth is that?!) With the arrival of the Covid Spring, I noticed the little saddlebags emerging on her sides... It has been our habit to not only feed, but TNR the denizens of our yard, so I called our local program, even our private vet, but due to Covid, no one could offer her a late term spay. Rather than have kittens born onto the streets, we trapped her and crated her in our guest room. While she had been living out in the elements, her behavior manifested as utterly feral, but one could easily tell that her relationship to her environment was very different, far more aware, far more deliberate. When trapped, she also seemed to assess her crate with a decisive eye and, unlike the typical DSH feral, never panicked or hid in fear. She was rather regal, quite self possessed, impeccably civilized and tidy. Within a very few days (though I myself fell victim to lightning claws a few times) she adopted my husband! We then dispensed with the crate because she would allow him to pick her up at will, indeed, even began to listen to verbal suggestions and gestures he would make. Point to the window ledge, up she goes. Pat the bed, she is right there for an ear rub. "Stay", and she will not push towards the door as you exit. Just look. Look at her utterly direct gaze, her pictures speak for themselves! She is full of presence. ...I suspect that she might even be interested in a leash and harness... When the day came for her to have her kittens, (it was MOTHER'S DAY btw!), she insisted, very vocally, that Tim be her Doula, be within paw's reach, and "talk her through it"! As her SEVEN (yes, 7!!!) kittens were posted on our fb page, one of our friends mentioned her resemblance to a Savannah Cat. Upon researching the temperament of the breed, we are personally convinced that she is one, at least in part. Her sensibilities are so very different from any cat we've ever met. The folks at Savannah Rescue could not conclude her lineage from pics with certitude, but have invited us to post her here, pointing out that those telltale ears are just not found in the typical DSH population! We are personally so very impressed with her, it is breaking our hearts that we cannot keep her. We have 3 other felines, which she would never accept. She has made it clear that she will make fierce, quick work of any other animals attempting to occupy her domicile. That is why we are posting her with one of her kittens. She is profoundly affectionate, has such a deep need for connection, and is so very bright that the stimulation of another companion could only be beneficial. But I am certain that the only company she would accept would be that of her own offspring. This little daughter looks the most like her, is quite trained and tidy, and appears to be growing some substantial ears of her own... Our brilliant little queen would require an attentive and experienced owner. In any case, we are located in NY, on Long Island, close to the Queens border. We would ask that a $150 donation be made to the Savannah Cat Rescue organization as an adoption fee for mother and daughter together, $100 each if separate. We would not ship an animal, but are willing to travel to Massachusetts and Delaware as well as NJ, PA and CT. Additionally, she and kitten both, have an appt at a local TNR on July 30th; the kitten will then be 10 weeks old, they will not leave until spayed. Please email Cathie at timncat@...

Beautiful F2 male savannah needs foster home in Toronto Ontario area ( Canada)
CINDERS IS IN A FOSTER HOME, GETTING SOME NECESSARY VET CARE. WE DON'T KNOW WHEN HE MIGHT BE AVAILABLE. Young F2 male Savannah near Toronto/Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Foster home only with NO children or other pets! Cinder is a beautiful and very young 1.5 year old F2 boy who needs a quiet, calm and mature home that is experienced with early generation Savannahs and/or fearful and abused kitties who are easily over-stimulated by touch. Cinder has a history of nipping/biting without provocation. We don't know what circumstances he might have experienced in his short past to create his fears and reactive behavior. His previous home had several children. He loves laser pointers, but has a fear of wand toys that is likely the result of unsupervised children playing roughly, chasing, hitting or teasing him. The right foster home for Cinder will be one who is not intimidated by a cat who may hiss or growl, is fearful in new surroundings and mistrusts people due to past abuse. He must have space, time and patience to acclimate to a new home and learn to trust again. A home without children or other pets is required...no exceptions! Cinder needs to be evaluated by the foster so good communication and descriptive conversations will help us all work as a team to see what kind of home this cat needs. As always foster homes will have first refusal on any cat. Because of this an application to foster is filled out and approved by our team just like any savannah being offered for adoption. Cinder is neutered with no known health or litter box issues. One of his legs turns slightly inward due to a congenital abnormality; this causes no issue with mobility. Cinder is located about 64 kilometers (40 miles) northeast of Toronto, Canada. He cannot be shipped, but transport within 80 kilometers (50 miles) may be possible. Canadian applicants only! If you feel you can give Cinder the quiet and patient foster home he deserves, and have experience with fearful and abused kitties who need time to come around at their own pace, please send an email with lots of detail to Teresa at Savannah Cat Rescue at: info@... and put Cinders name in the subject line. Thank you

PLACED - F5 FEMALE SAVANNAH & KITTEN DAUGHTERS SAGE AND SABLE - CANYON LAKE, CA
PLACED - F5 FEMALE SAVANNAH & KITTEN DAUGHTERS SAGE AND SABLE - CANYON LAKE, CA August of last year, we posted for help with Savannah, a pregnant F5 girl (yes her name really was Savannah). Savannah had three female kittens the very day after she was transported to her foster home. You would have seen the sad post where we lost Soderia due to FCK in September. With a few random unexplained fevers and vomiting episodes, finally as we were ready to spay them all ready for adoption the vet finally suggested testing for Panleukopenia (feline distemper). Savannah tested positive, which was amazing to us all. The veterinarians think it had to be a very mild strain as not only did Savannah pull through but the two kittens also (and it explained Soderia's issues). They now test negative for the virus and have recovered to be able to be spayed and be available for adoption. Savannah is a 3.5 year old F5 Savannah female, Sage and Sable are her F6 daughters (unknown father). Her surrendering owner felt unable to deal with kittens, he'd apparently bought a kitten for his daughter who lived with her mother who refused the "gift" and he kept the kitten but not bothered to spay (nor apparently vaccinate). Sage and Sable are now 5 months old and all are recently spayed. They are all now vaccinated and microchipped. The foster home wrote some words about their individual personalities: "Savannah-Savannah is a very sweet, very talkative girl. She would love to have a cat daddy or a teenage son in her furrever home. She is quite the flirt and quickly bonds to them. Savannah is a very active girl who likes to be acknowledged as soon as you see her. She does the cutest things when you get home or even just walk into a room. She enjoys cuddles and playtime. She’d be happiest as an only cat, getting ALL the love and attention. Savannah knows her leash and gets excited for you to get it on so she can take you on a stroll. Sage- Sage is a little character, she’ll do some of the silliest things. She is very affectionate, curious , sometimes a bit timid with new things and a good talker like her mom. Sage is a very active girl who likes to be acknowledged as soon as you see her. Sage enjoys high places and running on a cat wheel. She loves attention. Sage is adorable in every way. We think she’d be good with a younger cat to play with. Sable- Sable is very sweet and such a cutie. She loves attention and structured playtime. Sable learns routines quickly and enjoys the challenge of a feather on a stick & many laps on the cat wheel. She is a talker, but not too much or loud, it’s the cutest talk. We think she’d be good with a younger cat to play with." Additionally, to distinguish the kittens, Sable has a tail kink which is very cute, and Sage is slightly more golden. Pictures are below Adoption fees for each would be $200 each. If someone were to adopt two, then we likely would consider a slight discount on the second, but please remember that our rescue has expended thousands on their vet care to get them healthy and adoptable. They are currently located in Canyon Lake, CA and we are not willing to ship them at this time. You would need to be able to travel to fetch your cat/kitten. To adopt Savannah, Sage &/or Sable please email info@... with your location, a description of your household and why your home would be the best choice for them. After all they have been through, they deserve the best of homes!
