Watson, F4 Male - Franklin NC

Group Moderator

Watson - Franklin NC
Watson is a 4 year old F4 Male Savannah located in Franklin, North Carolina. He was surrendered to rescue through no fault of his own. His original owners had a change in circumstances and could no longer keep him. He was being fostered by a friend of the owner and is now in Savannah Cat Rescue's care for placement.
Watson is currently living with a SCR foster and he is doing very well. Watson's foster said is affectionate and did well with her dog. The original foster stated he was friendly and playful and could scratch (little) when over excited with playing. The current foster has not had any issues with scratching or nipping.
Watson is a healthy, neutered boy. Up to date on all his shots. Good litterbox habits!
Watson's forever home should be located within a reasonable driving distance to Franklin, NC. No shipping. He would do well with a dog or cat. He has not been in a home with any children. A home with older children (7+) would be acceptable.
If you think you are the perfect fit for Watson, please email us at info@.... Please make sure to include details regarding your home and how your home would fit his needs.
Rehoming fee: $200

PENDING - 75%HP F1 MALE - MEDFORD, OR
?
AFTER A FLOOD OF OFFERS, WE HAVE CHOSEN TUCKER'S NEW HOME.
?
Tucker is an outrageously gorgeous F1 male, due to having an F1 mom as well as Serval dad. But please don't let that blind you to the challenges of living with such an amazing creature. Tucker will be more like living with a Serval than living with a Savannah cat.
?
Tucker is still young and adaptable, so kudos to his owner for surrendering him now versus waiting it out longer. Tucker turned 1 year old this month, he is neutered and vaccinated and has no health issues. He is located in Medford, OR.
?
Tucker is being rehomed because his owner is overwhelmed caring for his older F1 brother who has serious health issues. Because of this his brother is smaller and weaker and Tucker is young and rambunctious and overwhelming. The cats have had to be kept separated and this has not improved with time.
?
Tucker is an active and social boy, he LOVES to play and to play hard. He pulverizes cardboard, he tries to grab toys before you so watch your fingers. He has all his claws and is too wriggly to clip with just one person. Tucker has been around 6-10 year old children and played well but they must know how to behave around a very active cat. Tucker hasn't been around other cats or dogs but likely would adapt well with the right introduction. He's a LOT of cat so would not be suitable for older less active type of pets. Use common sense when thinking about your own household before reaching out to us.
?
Because Tucker is an F1 Savannah (and in reality MORE than that), he's not your average Savannah. Please don't assume he would fit in just like any other Savannah. Please research Serval ownership and use that as a basis for how Tucker will be like when grown up (which would be at ~4 years of age). We would highly prefer an adopter that has had early generation SV experience, but also understands that this is a greater challenge. Don't just tell us you know, explain to us so we can tell you understand.
?
Tucker is located in Medford, OR. We would prefer a home that is able to pick him up in person BUT the owner is prepared to drive a little towards a new home OR she is even prepared to ship Tucker if the home is fabulous for him. She knows as we do that his new home is not easy to find! If interested in shipping, do some research into cargo routes into Medford as the owner will not be enthusiastic about multiple layovers and there are only limited nonstop flights from this airport.
?
If you have read all that, and think you are the home for Tucker, please email us at info@... with your location and all the information we need on your household and why you are the home for Tucker. His adoption fee will be $500.

Please read carefully!

Beautiful Khali is 1.5 years old and has faced strange health issues since being purchased from her original breeder (Enchanted Savannahs) by Coachella Savannahs. ?Rather than work to diagnose these issues, Khali was sold by Coachella Savannahs to a pet home who can no longer care for her. Neither breeder will take Khali back.

Khali needs a foster with experience with early generation Savannahs and patience while she gets an appropriate diagnosis. ?She suffers from itchy spots and can have diarrhea . Savannah Cat Rescue will pay for her vet bills in her foster home. ?Khali can be nippy, and does not seem to like small children, dogs or other cats. ?We are unsure if she would eventually adapt to a dog or another cat. ?When in discomfort or stress, she will refuse to use the litterbox. ?She is a stunning young F2 female, but a "project" cat due to her unresolved health issues.

We will NOT ship Khali and you must be able to drive to Temecula, CA to retrieve her.

For the right applicant who is willing to work through the health issues and current behavioral problems, Khali could be a wonderful lifelong companion.

Savannah boy Available in Ontario Canada

Edited

Here is Roxas !! This fearless boy is your typical Savannah. A perfect nickname for him would me "Mr. Underfoot" . He wants to be with you always ! He is good in the car, walks on a leash, has been show cat in a past life so used to crowds and noise and lots of attention.
The negatives.. you cannot do housework with him around. He is a big HELPER ! he will be right in the way , trying to grab the nozzle of vacuum, your cleaning clothes, ride on your shoulder or back. He is a real pain in the A** . Recommend to put him into another room if you want to read a book, clean the house or build a puzzle. But if you want someone to keep you busy and entertained he is your man ! He loves to play with almost any toy including paper bags.
He is a sturdy F7 savannah and 6 yrs old with good litterbox habits. Due to no fault of his own he needs a new home. He is located in the Kingston area of Ontario Canada. Being an F7 Savannah, arrangements could be made for him to cross the Canadian-USA border. He was rehomed recently but that home did not work out because he started scratching his new owner. He had never done this in his previous home but had a scare when he first arrived at his new home and was taking a long time to settle down from that and feel safe again. He was also rehomed with a female savannah and his old habits of being a breeding cat when young may have caused him to be more protective because she was there ? We can only guess what set this off. To be cautious you could put some "soft claws" on him until he feels secure in. his new home. You can google these and see how well they work. They might be a fashion fail for stud-ly man-ly cats but they do work well to prevent accidental scratches. Because of this behaviour he may not be a suitable cat for a family with young children or other cats.
This is not normal behaviour for a savannah or for him and he would do it almost out of the blue. So this is full disclosure. He may do well in a home with a dog to keep him entertained ? he is quite active. If you are interested in Roxas please write Teresa at info@...
His adoption fee is $200 (Please do not REPLY to the io groups email)

Hi Margaret, thank you for your long and very detailed letter. You sound like a great home and a great Owner. Of course the problem is going to be the transportation and it’s a big problem. Because Momo is an F2 she needs to have a lot of paperwork done to be able to cross an international border. Regulated the regulated She is regulated, the same as a full serval would be regulated and need cites paperwork done plus fish and ?wildlife inspections at the border. with our cats that are in rescue we just don’t have that kind of time this can take months. I am so sorry as I was very excited reading your letter but it’s just not going to work. Thank you again, Teresa.

Hi

My name is Margaret Bloom. I’m sure you’re inundated with requests for Momo.??I have the perfect forever home for her.?

I recently lost my beloved Buddha, a TICA registered Bengal, I raised from 3 months along with his surviving “sister,” Chiku, an F4 Savanah.?

Buddha passed from Brain Stem and Spinal Cancer. He lives and was dearly loved past his last breath, I held him in my arms everyday, administering medication, and lovingly petted and held him in my lap throughout his hospice.?It was diagnosis to death in an 8 day period. Each of those days were precious.?

When I called the cattery owner. A few months later, we welcomed Stone to our family. His TICA name will be Stonecoat Shiladichali.

My 6 month old Bengal, Stone, and my F4 Savannah, Chiku Ruka, are adjusting very well. Chiku translates to “Chatterbox” and she talks all day and night. Shiladichali roughly translates to “brother to chatterbox” so their names are linked.?

I have been blessed to have cats my whole life. They have lived long and happy lives for some for as long as 21 years. I have rescued strays in my past. I have experience helping stray rescues from “don’t touch me” to lap babies. I treat my cats like the fur family they are. ?

My cats have plenty of toys for playtime, including laser toys which they love. They have many food puzzles to play hunt for prey. They are totally, cuddly lap babies and they all received lots of attention and affection.?Stone in particular loves the catwheel. We call it “zoom, zoom” time.?

I really love my cats and try to give them the very best. I have 2 Litter Robots 4 and a Litter Robot 3 (as a backup) for waste. I clean them regularly.?

I use a fantastic mobile vet, Dr Mokhtari so my cats don’t have the added stress of a cat carrier when receiving care. Dr Mokthari comes 1/month for Chiku’s arthritis shot. She helps me with the soft paws. She came every couple of days while Buddha was ill. I’m so grateful. She was wonderful, professional and empathetic.?

I dispense medication if needed using lickable treats rather than stress them out.?

I also started dental powder in small amounts in their food. Chiku at 14 years has no dental hygiene issues. If she did, I would have her teeth cleaned as I have done in the past.?

My pet sitter was a Vet Tech for over a decade and lives next door.?She and her husband love my cats too.?

I give my cats oodles of affection. Buddha was, and Chiku and Stone are very affectionate and loving. I have experience with the activity and liveliness of the breed and I love it!??

I want to rehome a Savannah like Momo if possible. She would blend into a semi-exotic experienced home filled with love and caring. This is the best forever home!

I have rescued 8 times prior to Chiku and Buddha, including 2 cats with chronic illnesses. One kitten was so injured by abuse, she wasn’t expected to live. Lulu lived 2 more happy years.?

I have experience introducing new cat members into the family. I’ve done it successfully in the past and again this past 6 months.?

I live alone in a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home. I have room(s) to use to introduce new cat family members and the patience to introduce a new cat family member on her/his timeline. My cats have whole house access. Every room and hallway has toys and scratching posts, many interactive toys and some attached to the fireplace surround. I rotate and introduce new toys frequently. There are also multiple toy baskets they can dig in to and heated beds.?Honestly though they prefer to sleep on me.?

I use soft paws on my cats and they?

have numerous scratching posts in every room. I also don’t have curtains or drapes and have a fold up hammock on the MBR window because sometimes they want to chitter at the birds!

I have wood floors and vacuum daily, including the furniture. I think cats deserve a clean environment. To me a clean environment includes multiple, ergonomic bowls so they can be rotated. My cats eat from clean bowls. I have multiple stainless steal fountains so I can rotate fountains and they have clean fountains to drink from.? I use pet-friendly cleaning products on floors, furniture and countertops

?I feed them Blue Mountain dry food. They only receive a 1/2 cup a day split between slow-feed bowls and in toy food puzzles. I feed my cats Nutro chicken and tuna variety. My cats are normal weight and healthy.?

I try my hardest to meet my pets where they are including a feral cat who started out very skittish and over time became a big lap cat. I don’t yell or punish my cats, rather I encourage positive behavior with distraction, treats for positive behavior and encourage affection.?Despite the text book description about Savannahs, Chiku my F4, is a very social, affectionate fur baby. Buddha was a very social, affectionate fur baby. I was Buddha’s favorite bed. I am Chiku and Stones favorite bed.?

I also have exposed my daughter to my cats so they have a relationship and will continue to do so.? If anything happens to me, she will include my cats in her feline-friendly home. She and her fiancé have a fur family and experience introducing new cats into their home.?

My challenge is transportation. I cannot drive or fly to Ontario. I have a close friend in Gross Point Park who might be willing to pick Momo up. I live in Nashville TN. Semi-exotics are legal in TN really don’t like the idea of transportation but it is what I need to do. I can also hire a courier service. I hope you don’t discard my application and perhaps we can chat about Momo??joining the family. I can supply references if requested.?

Thank you for considering me.?

Introducing Momo to our savannah rescue community. We are seeking a special owner and we know you are out there! Have you ever owned a cat that was distrusting to the point of acting scared in your home ? have you ever worked to help a street rescue cat calm down and become suitable for a family home ? Have you ever had a cat that liked to spend their time with the other household cats more than with you? If you can answer YES ! to any of these questions you might be the perfect home for Momo.
Momo means "dumpling" and she may have been a dumpling at some point in her life but now she 8 yrs young and is long and lean and elegant.
Momo is a beautiful F2 Savannah so has some of the serval quirks from her grandfather, and one of them being that she is reserved about bonding to new people. Due to unfortunate circumstances (owner health) this is the 4th home for Momo. Please be her last home ! When she was young and impressionable her owners were unable to spend the time required to bond with her and that is why she has grown up to be this aloof beauty.
She is not suitable for a home with active young children looking for a cuddly savannah pet that can be walked on a leash and dressed up by the children. She is looking for a quiet home that doesn't have a lot of people coming and going. She would be a lovely (although distant) companion for someone working from home.
At times she will engage with fishing rod toys and have a game with you. She also likes to be in the room with you especially if you are preparing dinner ! She likes to have a conversation with humans and she enjoys the companionship of other cats (with proper slow introductions) she would probably be ok with a non threatening mellow dog in her new home, but again she will need slow introductions to any other pets in the home.
Momo has clean litter habits and enjoys a variety of foods including raw, canned and kibble. She doesn't need a large area to live in, but she does love high places. She will always choose the top of the scratching post or try to get on top of the kitchen cabinets and watch the household from there. She also enjoys watching the outdoors by sitting at the window. Momo may never return your affection, but with patience, you will probably see some improvement in her trust levels over time, don’t take it personally if she doesn’t warm up to you.
Momo Does not want to be put in a crate for traveling so in some cases, she may need to be sedated for example going to the vet office . She is already spayed and vaccinated so shouldn't be requiring any vet visits in the near future.
This exotic girl is located in the Ottawa area of Ontario Canada. Due to her high percentage of serval blood she would not be suitable to cross the border as time consuming paperwork would need to be done for her to cross an international border. Momo's adoption fee is $200. Please write Teresa if you would like to be considered for her at info@...

Myles is a handsome boy, picked up by Animal Control. He is approximately 8-10 months old.

We don't know much about his background, but he is said to be very friendly, wants to be petted, doesn't mind being picked up and is very chatty. Litterbox habits are great, but he is messy, so may need an enclosed litterbox. AC says he is a great cat!

Myles is not neutered, so will be offered for foster until neutered and then may be adopted. SV Rescue will pay for Myles to be neutered.

We do not know how he is with other animals, but he is young and friendly, so other pets should be ok.

Please email info@... if you would like to offer a great home for Myles. You must explain your home situation, tell us about your family, if any, and pets if you have them.

Persephone has been adopted!? ?

Persephone is once again looking for a forever home. She originally came into our rescue a year ago. She had been abandoned by the owner. She had been living in a small cage and needed a bit of time to decompress. She lived with our wonderful foster for a few months and was ready for her new home. She had been adopted out but due to the family’s living situation changing, she can no longer stay with her new family.
Persephone is in good health. She is declawed but is good with the litter box. Persephone is looking for a quiet home, no cats and maybe one small dog. Children 10 and older. She is very skittish so a busy home is not good. Not a lap cat but will come sit by you for company. With time she may become a lap cat…this is unknown. This girl deserves a patient loving home! Local pick up. No Shipping. Adoption fee is $200.00
If you feel you can provide a home that meets Persephone's needs, please email us at info@....

ADOPTED - HASSINI - F5 - HUDSON, NY

?HASSINI - F5 - HUDSON, NY

DUE TO MISLEADING COMMUNICATION BY THE SHELTER DIRECTOR, HASSINI WAS ADOPTED OUT BY THE SHELTER. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THEY WISHED TO WASTE OUR TIME AND YOURS, INSTEAD OF TAKING THE PROFFERED OPTION OF SENDING APPLICANTS DIRECTLY TO THEM. SOME GREAT HOMES WERE MISSED.
?
Hassini is a dream come true for some lucky family! He is still a kitten, just 7 months old and was surrendered to a shelter in New York State for no other reason than the owner's allergies making it impossible to keep him.
?
Hassini is at another shelter, who is trusting us to vet potential homes and send the lucky adopter to them. They are asking a $500 adoption fee, and he will be available in a week after he is neutered by them.
?
Hassini is said to be curious, friendly and outgoing. He has only been living with adults but has had child visitors (8 & 12 YO) and was reported to play gently. He was not living with any cats, but a dog that he played happily with. Hassini is young enough that we would consider him highly adaptable with the appropriate introductions.
?
He was used to a raw diet but has been on shelter food without issue. He was reported to be very playful as a kitten should be, and perfect with the litterbox.
?
If you think that Hassini would be perfect for your home, please email us at info@... and tell us why. You would need to be able to drive to Hudson, NY to pick him up. The shelter is not going to handle shipping nor transporters. They have asked for a $500 adoption fee.

FOSTERED - CHARLOTTE & SUNSHINE - F6&7 - PICAYUNE, MS

Edited

FOSTERED - CHARLOTTE & SUNSHINE - F6&7 - PICAYUNE, MS

WHEN THE CHOSEN FOSTER HOME GOT TO THE SHELTER WE DISCOVERED THAT THE GIRLS HAD A BONDED MALE BENGAL COMPANION. HE WAS BROUGHT TO TN WITH THE GIRLS WHERE THEY ARE BEING FOSTERED. MIKE THE BENGAL HAS A DENTAL TO UNDERGO BEFORE WE MIGHT CONSIDER THEM ADOPTABLE AS A TRIO.
?
Charlotte and Sunshine are currently terrified under a cat bed in a cage in a shelter. Poor babies just don't understand. They were surrendered by an owner going through a divorce. They are 5 years old, F6 and F7 generation, and vaccinated, spayed and microchipped and ready to be picked up asap to the right home. The shelter will not adopt to you if contacted, they want us to choose the home.
?
The breeder of both cats is Angie Rimmer of EastTN Savannahs. She has been contacted by both the shelter previously and us directly today. She has no intentions of helping the cats, saying she is overcrowded with the cats she has already.
?
We do not know much about Charlotte & Sunshine, we know that they lived with a number of other cats. I do not know about dogs or children, but I would think with proper introductions they would be fine.
?
They are accustomed to a raw diet, the shelter is concerned that they are not interested in kibble so a new home should be prepared to feed a suitable diet initially, even if they work on transitioning to a canned diet (if not happy feeding raw).
?
The shelter wants us to determine the right home, so please don't contact them asking about them.
?
If you are located within reach of Picayune, MS and would like to offer these two girls a home (or even a foster home although we would prioritize a permanent option), please contact us at info@.... Their joint adoption fee would be $200 paid to the shelter.

F1 SPAYED FEMALE - 7 YEARS OLD - VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

Lola is a beautiful spayed F1. Experience with early generation Savannahs preferred.

?

Lola did not work out at her recent home due to the presence of two other cats... She lived most of her life as a cattery cat and will need time and patience to learn life as a pet. She is said to get along with dogs, but does not get along with other cats. Lola is more comfortable around females, since her former owner, now deceased, was a female. She has not been around children, so a home with children cannot be considered.

?

As a former cattery cat, Lola is not very social, which is why someone with early generation experience is much preferred. She will need a room to herself for quite a while (months - could be a year) and very slow introductions to a dog or other humans. NO CATS - Lola does not like other cats.

?

Lola has good litterbox habits and eats well. A home with a catio is a plus for a girl like Lola... She may come around sooner than months to years, but we don't know. We really need someone who is willing to give her as much time as it takes and to be very patient and understanding of this girl who has to learn how to be a pet.?

?

If you can give Lola a great home with lots of love, time and patience, please email info@... - please tell us about your home, family and circumstance. EMAILS WITHOUT THE INFO WE REQUEST WILL NOT BE ANSWERED.?

ADOPTED - F5 Silver male - Celebration, Florida
Walther is a 5 year old F5 male in search of a new home. Walther is a bit shy with people when he first meets them but when he warms up he is quite lovey! Walther is currently living with 3 other cats and his rough play is causing an issue. One of the cats is ok with his rough play but the other 2 do not like it. The current owner has tried medication and pheromone spray but neither was a long term solution. Some spite spraying started when one of the other cats started marking. This issue was resolved with more boxes in the space where he was marking. Walther is front paw declawed.
The perfect home for Walther is a patient family. He is a shy cat and needs to learn he's safe. He currently has a large doggy stroller that he likes to use as a safe space when he is nervous, he needs his hidey spots on occasion. He is very vocal and has an adorable "where are you mama?" cry. He loves to walk on the cat wheel and loves his morning routine of checking for lizards in the bathroom window - he sits at the door and watches you until you let him in. He has not been around children or dogs but may do well with one very laid back cat.
Local pickup only. Adoption fee is $200.
If you think you think Walther would be a good fit for your home, please reply via email to us at info@... with information on how your home meets his needs.

Meet?Cheeto - a young, energetic, handsome, loving boy! He needs a lot of play time and love! His very young owner did not realize he would require so much attention! The owner wants him to have a home that has room for him to play and can give him the love and attention he so desperately seeks.
