It has around 2 million Christians, mainly Korean, but many Han Chinese. The largest city is Changchun with around 3 million people, but this city and others do not have a large number of believers. The province is strategic for North Korea, in prayer and witness. Please pray that the church would be ready if this country falls. Please pray that the gospel would go forth in power, their are many cults operating in this province. Jiangxi province A province of around 44 million , with a Christian population of 5%. The party still holds great sway in this province, as this is where the long march started, but there has been much growth in the church, but large areas and people groups, remain unreached. Many believers are farmers and live in poverty and are untrained. They are liable to fall into false teaching, so there needs to be sound biblical teaching in this province. There is great need in this province, please pray that the Lord, would send pastors and church workers to train up church members in sound theology and practice. "Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness." ~ Corrie ten Boom INDIA: Call for Death Penalty for Coercive Religious Conversions Sources: International Christian Concern, The Hindu, Catholic News Agency, Mission Network News Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Photo: India Prime Minister's Office (GODL-India) The Chief Minister for the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has publicly announced plans to impose the death penalty on those convicted of forced or fraudulent religious conversions. In a public meeting for International Women's Day on March 8th, Mohan Yadav equated such conversions with child molestation, stating that both crimes warrant the imposition of capital punishment. Later that evening, the state government released a statement affirming the announcement made by Mohan. The state's Religious Freedom Act, which came into effect in 2021, is intended to protect people from being forcefully or fraudulently converted from one religion to another. Similar anti-conversion laws are also presently being enforced within ten other states throughout India. Unfortunately, such laws have been widely abused. Militant groups have stirred up violent mob attacks against Christians, falsely claiming that the believers were involved in bribery and other ways of tricking people into converting. For more information, including reports concerning the numerous incidents of persecution that have taken place against those allegedly accused of coercive conversions, see our country profile. Pray that this intended change to Madhya Pradesh's legislation will not be instituted, and that followers of Jesus will no longer be falsely accused under India's anti-conversion laws. Ask the Lord to intervene on behalf of believers who are currently facing legal challenges due to false allegations, praying that they will be cleared of all charges. May the country's governing leaders come to respect the constitutional rights of all India's citizens, which includes permitting religious freedom to adherents of Christianity. Despite the threat of opposition and false charges, may our Christian brothers and sisters throughout this South Asian nation receive guidance, courage and strength as they endeavour to continue living in ways that please the Lord. PAKISTAN: Brutal Attack on Christian Worker Sources: CLAAS-UK, Aid to the Church in Need, UCA News, Morning Star News Waqas Masih. Photo: HARDS Pakistan via Morning Star News A 22-year-old Christian man was brutally attacked by his supervisor at a paper mill in Sharaqpur, Punjab, when he refused to renounce his faith in Christ. Having sustained severe injuries to his throat on March 21st, Waqas Masih was hospitalized in Lahore where his condition has been reported as critical but stable. According to the young man's father, Waqas encountered pressure to convert to Islam for over a month. Throughout this time, he repeatedly refused to give up his Christian faith and continued to quietly perform his work duties. "Muslims often invite Christians to [convert to] Islam, and we simply don't respond," stated Waqas' mother, Bushra Bibi. On the day of the attack, a supervisor named Zohaib Iftikhar called Waqas into a room at the mill. While there, he demanded to know why the Christian believer refused to accept Islam. When Waqas stood firmly for his beliefs, Zohaib pulled out a utility knife and slashed the young man's neck before fleeing the scene. After collapsing, Waqas was rushed to a local hospital and then transferred to Lahore for surgery. When the attacked believer later regained consciousness, he was able to write a statement explaining that he had been falsely accused of desecrating an Islamic textbook by touching it with "unclean" hands (a term often used in Pakistan to reference those belonging to other religious groups). Following the violent incident, the manager of the factory filed a police report, and Zohaib has since been arrested. The factory owner denies tha

(Octavius Winslow) "Yes, He is altogether lovely! This is my Beloved - and this is my Friend!" Song of Songs 5:16 The personal attractions of Jesus are all inviting and irresistible! His love wins us. His glory charms us. His beauty attracts us. His sympathy soothes us. His gentleness subdues us. His faithfulness inspires us. He is the altogether lovely One! Jesus is all that is tender in love. Jesus is all that is wise in counsel. Jesus is all that is patient and kind. Jesus is all that is faithful in friendship. Jesus is all that is soothing and healing. The heart of Jesus is ever loving towards His children. The disposition of Jesus is ever kind towards His children. The nature of Jesus is ever sympathizing towards His children. Jesus is your Brother, your Friend, your Redeemer. As your Brother - He knows the need of His brethren in adversity. As your Friend - He shows Himself friendly. As your Redeemer - He has redeemed your soul from sin and Hell. Jesus has ascended up on high to take possession of Heaven on your behalf, and to prepare a place for you! Upon His heart, He wears your name as a precious pearl in the priestly breastplate. "He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them." There is . . . not a moment of your time, nor an event of your life, nor a circumstance of your daily history, nor a mental or spiritual emotion of yours - in which you are not borne upon the love, and remembered in the ceaseless intercession of Christ. There are thousands of English devotions also. https://www.tblfaithnews.com/category/tbl-china https://www.tblfaithnews.com/tbl-china-prayer-requests https://www.tblfaithnews.com/ ACTS 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. NO OTHER SALVATION The in word of today is tolerance... we are to tolerate other faiths; they have as much right to be heard as Christianity does. After all they have something relevant to say to the world. Well, wrong, they have no right to say anything to the world because they can provide no answer to the world's main problem and that is sin. If Peter and John were alive today, their words would not have gone down well with the establishment, not that they went down well in first century Palestine. They told it, as it was and we must tell it the same way. So often Christianity is viewed as intolerant, well the reason is because it has the answer to man's problem. Look at the end of the verse, we must be saved, there is an imperative there, there is urgency It's almost as Peter and John were saying, this is so urgent, we have to do it, please let us go, so that we can get on with our work of sharing the gospel. When people say to you that Christianity is an intolerant faith and doesn't regard any other faiths, say to them that Jesus himself said that He was the Way, The truth and The life, and no man could ever to the Father but by him. You can't get there through works, or by Mohammed or by praying to Mary, There is salvation in no one else and you must be saved by him to obtain eternal salvation. The only name that saves from Sin and death and allows us access into the Father's presence is Jesus. God bless you Keith 凯斯 MICAH 7 18 Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again; He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. THERE IS NO ONE LIKE OUR GOD! What a finish to this glorious Book - just absolutely wonderful! The answer I know I can give and I hope you can too is: : THERE IS NO GOD LIKE OUR GOD! Why? Because He is the only one who can pardon sin. Because Jesus has dealt with and has broken sin's authority over us; its hold has been smashed in pieces and the curtain has been torn - allowing us to enter the holy place of God's Presence through the Blood of the Lamb... AMEN. The Jews in this book of Micah had been told so much of what was wrong with them. Corruption and idol worship were rampant throughout the land, and yet God gave this amazing promise to His people. We need to proclaim the main difference between the one true God and the many false gods around today and it is summed up in these verses. Our God can deal with sin. He can pardon our sin if we come to Him in repentance. These idols which people bow down to, of wood and stone, are objects. They cannot save from sin; they cannot pardon sin; they cannot have mercy and compassion on the sinner. I wonder if your land is full of sin and idol worship? Well, this is the promise God holds out to you: that your land, your community, can be saved because God is the One who pardons sin. Neither Buddha nor Mohammed can pardon sin and deal in mercy. They do nothing for man. They were just men. There is only One True God… He says in Exodus 3:14...’I AM THAT I AM.’ OUR GOD IS LIKE NO OTHER… AMEN! Let's tell the world!!! LIVING LIGHTS Jesus is our great intercessor, he sits at the right hand of the Father, praying for us day and night. He knows our every and deepest needs and prays for them.. isn't that amazing and wonderful? Here he prays for the believers who will come after the apostles.. that's you and me folks Some of us, me included at times want to go and live on a desert island or as a hermit, but we can't, we have to live in the real world, we have to go to work, we have to interact with the majority of people, who don't love the Saviour like we do and we have to live in a world that is filled with evil. Jesus doesn't pray that we would be taken out of the world, but that we would live in the world and shine as living lights. My friends, we are the lights who light up this dark world, we have the bright light of Jesus living inside of us. Jesus says in the sermon on the mount, these words in Matthew Chapter 5 14 You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your [z]moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and [aa]recognizeand honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. We are to let Christ live in us through the Holy Spirit, so that people can see it. To do this, we must allow Jesus to be Lord of our lives, we need to be connected to the vine of Jesus, as we are the branches John 15. We must let God's word dwell in us richly Colossians 3:16 and we must pray always 1 Thess 5:18-20 Let us shine our lights brightly, so we can light up this world and expose all the badness and evil in it, instead of being overcome by it Ephesians 5:8-13 God bless you Keith John 7 37 Now on the last and most important day of the feast, Jesus stood and called out [in a loud voice], “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! 38 He who believes in Me[who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’”39 But He was speaking of the [Holy] Spirit, whom those who believed in Him [as Saviour] were to receive afterward. The Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honour) Amplified Bible. JESUS THE THIRST QUENCHER What an offer by Jesus. People are so thirsty, Amen. It was the last day of the feast and Jesus stands up and says this amazing statement of truth. People are desperate in today's society, they are thirsting for meaning, and Jesus provides the water they so desperately need Not only does He quench people's thirst, but when He does, the person whose thirst is quenched, goes on the pour out this living water to everyone he/she meets. The holy spirit is the indwelling power that is in the Christian, and this power flows out of them and affects everyone they come into contact with. I have four questions Have you accepted the offer of Jesus ? Have you come to Jesus and drunk of the water of life ? If you have, is living water flowing out of you ? Today have you given someone a taste of that living water by your words or your life ? You will reap bountifully if you have. God bless you Keith

Editor’s note: This March, we are praying for the southern China city of Guilin. Three Guilin house church pastors told us about their city, and how it has changed (and stayed the same) in recent years. They say that area churches seem to be growing slowly, but overall, there are not many believers in Guilin. Their city is built around tourism, so Covid had a big impact on Guilin’s economy, and now many people are focusing on making as much money as possible, trying to make up for the time they lost during the pandemic. Not Many Believers China Partnership: How has your city changed in the last five years? What changes have occurred in your church? Pang: Twenty years ago there was a big urban renovation project, but Guilin hasn’t changed much since then. It does like there has been some gospel growth, but there still aren’t very many believers. Guilin doesn’t have any mega-churches. There are some house churches, and some cults. I’ve come across several small churches that are very liberal and casual, not very Reformed. We’ve seen the lives of some brothers and sisters transform. Some who weren’t very enthusiastic about the gospel or their faith before are more active now, and their lives have changed. Because my church has only been planted for a little more than two years, not much has changed for us. Gospel Growth in an Economic Downturn Deng: My impression is also that Guilin hasn’t changed much in the last five years. Of course, the city’s appearance has changed: some roads are wider, a few bridges have been built, roads have been expanded, there are more parks, and transportation is more convenient. I’ve seen more and more commercial housing, and more people moving in from the north. The pandemic had a big impact: it caused economic decline, falling house prices, unemployment, and lower incomes. As for changes to gospel work, I’ve seen many small churches pop up, but not very many Reformed churches. But, I’ve also seen God working though the church planting efforts of Pastor Yang’s church and other, sister churches. Reformed churches are gradually appearing. As for our church, about three years ago we were sent out to plant a new church. In this time, we’ve seen the Holy Spirit continuously working. We’ve grown in the number of members, regular attendees, and seekers. So that’s one change – the expansion of the gospel. Another change is our meeting place. At first, we met in a small apartment complex. Later we moved to a new and bigger location, but now that space is getting crowded, so we’re looking for a new place to meet. The tourist industry was hit hard. Since Guilin’s economy relies so much on tourism, Covid had a big impact on the city’s economy and daily life… Now, people want to make up for the three years they lost, so there’s a frenzy around making money. We’ve seen the lives of some brothers and sisters transform. Some who weren’t very enthusiastic about the gospel or their faith before are more active now, and their lives have changed. Relationships among brothers and sisters have become closer, and some sisters are very active in evangelism. Last year, our church had its first case of church discipline, and we excommunicated an unrepentant member. In the past two years, God has also brought some university students to our church as seekers, so we’ve started a new college ministry. The tourist industry was hit hard. Since Guilin’s economy relies so much on tourism, Covid had a big impact on the city’s economy and daily life. About half of Guilin’s population works in tourism-related industries, so they were all greatly affected. Now, people want to make up for the three years they lost, so there’s a frenzy around making money. Because of Covid and national policies, fewer foreigners have been coming to Guilin these past few years. Because of these policies, the pandemic, and other things, basically all the foreign mis

ROMANS 10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ” 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? One of the first things, we learn to do in life, is to speak and one of the first ways we learn to speak is to learn our alphabet. We are taught when we come to faith that we are to Admit, Believe and Confess as shown in the passage above. Let us dig down on these thoughts: What are meant to admit: That God is. Hebrews 11 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. We need to realize who God is, we must believe that he exists, an atheist has to come to the realization that there is a God. Not only must we be made aware that he is real, but that he is both just and loving at the same time. As the verse says, we need to be aware that if we diligently seek him, he will be found. We must acknowledge that God is just and is justified in his righteous anger against sin and against the sinner. Romans 3 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. God is not being unfair, he is being just towards sin, we are rebels against God in our hearts and actions, he would be totally justified in sending me straight to hell, I deserve it, but he acted in mercy towards me. Psalm 103 We Must admit that we are sinful and have strayed from God Isaiah 53:6 The example of the publican in Luke 18, he realized that he was a sinner, not deserving God's forgiveness. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalted himself shall be abased; and he that humblest himself shall be exalted. Only when the holy spirit enlightens your heart, so that can truly see yourself as a wretched dirty sinner, can you start to come to faith. We need to admit that we cannot save ourselves and only Christ can save us The thief on the cross saw this, he had no option but to admit this, like all those who come to this point, such as the publican, such as Zaccheus. We need to realize, we have no hope, only in Christ do we have hope. Ephesians 2:1-8 Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. So we admit all these things, this brings us t

"Not all of us are called to die a martyr's death, but all of us are called to have the same spirit of self-sacrifice and love to the very end as these martyrs had." ~ Rev. Richard Wurmbrand IRAN: Three Christians Facing Lengthy Prison Sentences Source: Article18 Left to right: Abbas Soori, Narges Nasri, and Mehran Shamloui. Photos: Article 18 Three Christian converts, including a woman who is pregnant with her first child, have been sentenced to lengthy prison sentences on charges relating to their religious beliefs and worship meetings. The Iranian believers were sentenced by Judge Iman Afshari at a Revolutionary Court on March 8th. Narges Nasri is 37 years old and halfway through her first pregnancy. She received the stiffest sentence among those of the three accused Christians: ten years for "propaganda activities contrary to Islamic law," five years for membership in an "opposition group," and an additional year for "propaganda against the state." The charges allegedly stem from a social media post that Narges had made. Abbas Soori likewise received a sentence of ten years for "propaganda activities contrary to Islamic law" and an additional five years for membership in an "opposition group." Abbas had been previously accused of distributing propaganda in 2022. As a result of these former charges, rather than being sentenced to prison, the believer received ten years of "deprivation of social rights," which carries numerous restrictions relating to areas such as employment, health care and education. (For more information on this previous incident, go to this report.) The third Christian sentenced on March 8th was Mehran Shamloui who received a term of eight years for spreading propaganda and 30 months for membership in an "opposition group." All three followers of Jesus were arrested during concurrent raids on their homes in Tehran on November 3rd. At least ten other Christians were arrested on the same day through coordinated raids across the country. For additional reports on the persecution experienced by our Christian brothers and sisters in Iran, go to our country profile. Remember these three believers in your prayers, along with the many other Iranian Christians who are presently being detained because of their faith in Christ, asking that all charges against them will be dropped. Pray that our imprisoned Christian brothers and sisters in Iran would rest in the assurance that Christ's presence is abiding with them. As a result, may they experience His sustaining peace, comfort and encouragement. Prayerfully ask God to also provide greatly needed comfort to these detained believers' families, friends and fellow church members. INDIA: Large Mob Attack at Pastors' Gathering Sources: VOM Australia, VOM Contacts Pastors and church leaders in India. Photo: VOMC On February 19th, a group of pastors had gathered in Kusumba Village, a town located in the Jalgaon District of Maharashtra, India. As the meeting was taking place, a mob of approximately 400 Hindu nationalists suddenly attacked, brutally assaulting many of the pastors. As a result of the violence, two of the church leaders were left in critical condition. In addition to the physical assaults, the Hindu militants destroyed various furniture items belonging to the Christians, along with six motorcycles. Shortly thereafter, police arrived at the scene and managed to bring the situation under control. Despite having committed the violence, the attackers were all allowed to leave, while 28 pastors were detained for questioning before being released that evening. According to local reports, the violent incident has deeply affected all of the Christians in the community. In India, mob attacks against Christians are common, particularly by those determined to make the country a Hindu nation. For more details on the violent opposition inflicted against followers of Jesus in this South Asian country, go to our country report. Pray for the complete physical and emotional healing of all those who were injured in this most recently occurring assault. May the Lord also

Names have been changed to protect identity https://www.tblfaithnews.com/category/tbl-china https://www.tblfaithnews.com/tbl-china-prayer-requests How My Husband Came to Faith I was born in the 1980s, and my husband, Peter, is one year older than me. We were high school classmates, but he dropped out before graduation to join the army. After I graduated from university and he was discharged from the military, we got together, moved to South China for work, and later got married. We had our eldest daughter, Molly, and eventually returned to North China. Before Molly was three, we were both atheists. That winter, it was freezing in North China, and we had no heating at home. A Christian lady who lived upstairs told us about a daycare near our area that was free of charge and welcomed children to play. So, Molly joined her little friends and started going there. It really was free, and they even provided meals! At the entrance, there was a sign that said, “Emmanuel.” Molly came home happy every day. After about a month, the teachers invited us for a talk. They asked if we had any religious beliefs. I said no. They then said, “If you don’t, you might consider visiting a nearby church on Sundays to learn more.” One day, I decided to walk into the church in our area. WE ARE GOING TO YONDER CITY REVELATION 21 1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. In pilgrims progress, the pilgrims are constantly looking for the heavenly city, their eyes are always directed to heaven. Our eyes, have also to be focused towards heaven, we travel on this road towards the heavenly city and we travel on it, knowing that at the end of this road is something beyond description. This is what keeps us going, sometimes the road is incredibly rough and steep, and the one thing that does keep us focused and hopeful, is that one day, we will see our Saviour and share his glory. When someone asks, where are we going? We say, " we are going to yonder city" We are going to see our Saviour. Our eyes and our focus, have to be on heaven. The glories of heaven are one of the greatest motivations for us, the glories of heaven are so amazing. Romans 8 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. The glories of heaven, are among the greatest motivations to us, the glory of heaven is totally awesome. If we are going to Yonder City, another thing we must do, is to take as many people as we can with us to this glorious place. We must grasp the glories of heaven; Praise God. Are you going to Yonder city? KK REVELATION 21 21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. ZION'S CITY We come to the end of the alphabet, and for Z, we are going to finish at our final destination. Pilgrim, Hopeful and Faithful went on the way to the celestial city, a city that is beyond words, please read the rest of chapter 21 to be totally awed. This is the thing that keeps us going, this is the blessed hope of Titus 2:13 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Going along the way is awesome, but it is tough, there is a blessed hope, the hope of the believer is to see his/her Saviour. When life got to its hardest point, in Doubting castle, Pilgrim plucked a key out of his bosom called Promise. One of the promises on that key ring is this: JOHN 14 14 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Rejoice Christian, you are going home. One day you will see your Saviour and all pain and sorrow will cease. As we end this series, let's rejoice that we are home. microscopic or telescopic
MICROSCOPIC OR TELESCOPIC? PSALM 119 9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes. Of all the treasures we have, the word of God is probably the greatest. So how do we read and study it. Christians use different methods, some read thee bible once per year using various schemes, some just read the bible in large chunks, such as five chapters per day. Some read randomly, they don't follow any scheme, they read in John one day and Psalms the next, is that helping them? I used this method for many years and to be honest, did not grow in my faith very much, I had favorite passages that I constantly read, which kept me away from the books I felt were difficult, such as Job, Jeremiah, Joel and Ezekiel ( this last one is still a struggle!) Now I am using a method, that could be of help to you. When I read a book such as Acts, which I will start next month, I will read the whole book, splitting into sections to gain an overview (telescopic) and then read it slowly, taking as long as it takes (microscopic), examining it section by section. The bible is a treasure trove, it is full of rich diamonds, which we often miss, it is a book to dwell on, it is a book to be meditated upon, it needs to be examined closely and carefully. Let me make a suggestion, say you are reading Revelation, read all of it, splitting it into sections, and then take time to read it slowly, reading five chapters of Revelation is difficult enough anyway, We miss so much, for the first time, I have read the psalms one by one, some of these I have never focused on, such as Psalm 10, 83 and 31. Oh yes, we read all the popular ones such as Psalm 23 and 51, but we forget the words of the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. Thomas brooks said these wise words:  Bible reading... by Thomas Brooks-- https://www.gracegems.org/2001-1/bible_reading.htm "Remember that it is not hasty reading, but serious meditation on holy and heavenly truths, that makes them prove sweet and profitable to the soul. It is not the mere touching of the flower by the bee that gathers honey, but her abiding for a time on the flower that draws out the sweet. It is not he that reads most, but he that meditates most, that will prove to be the choicest, sweetest, wisest, and strongest Christian."  I say a big amen to that, it is not how many pages you read, it is how much does the bible affect your life. Poem by Keith Search the bible, meditate on it's truth. So, its transforming power has free reign in your life. The power of the word gives light to your path The authority of the word gives meaning to life Fall in love with God's word. Let it become your greatest treasure and deepest pleasure. Let me run to it and never away from it Knowing that it is the book of books Written by the King of Kings To bless and comfort his children May we fly to the word. The final word goes to Don Fortner Bow to the Word by Don Fortner https://www.gracegems.org/2001-1/Bow%20to%20the%20Word.htm I bow to the Word of God. There are many good creeds, confessions, and catechisms written by men, clearly setting forth the gospel of the grace of God; but I do not pin my faith to the writings of any man, or any group of men, no matter how much I may admire them. The Word of God alone is my rule of faith and practice. I bow my will and my reason, my experience and my feelings, to the Word of God. I do not understand all that is written in the Scriptures; but I believe it all. I bow to the authority of Holy Scripture. I do so unreservedly. Let men call it bigotry, ignorance, or whatever they may, I am not even open to the consideration of any thought, id

REPORT UPDATE OCCUPIED UKRAINE: Orthodox Priest Transferred to Russian Labour Camp Source: Forum18 Father Kostiantyn Maksimov Photo: Center for Civil Liberties In May 2023, Orthodox priest Kostiantyn Maksimov was taken captive by Russian occupation forces in the Zaporizhzhia Region of eastern Ukraine. In March 2024, it was announced that he had been accused of reporting the location of Russian air defences and put on trial for espionage. On August 2nd, the church leader was found guilty and sentenced to 14 years in a forced labour camp. For more details on Father Kostiantyn's case, see these reports. Although Father Kostiantyn appealed the ruling, his sentence was upheld in November 2024. At the time, concerns were raised that the priest may be transferred to a prison camp in Russia – an action that would violate the Geneva Conventions. According to these international laws, prisoners from an occupied territory must be detained within that territory. On February 11th, those concerns were realized when Father Kostiantyn was transferred to a labour camp in Russia's Saratov Region, which is located more than 1,000 kilometres from his home. All Protestant and non-Moscow Patriarchate Orthodox churches have been declared illegal in occupied areas of Ukraine, and the occupying Russian forces have implemented many of the religious restrictions currently found in Russia. For previously published reports on the challenges facing Christians in these regions, see our country profile. Ask our Heavenly Father to provide Father Kostiantyn with greatly needed physical and spiritual endurance as he continues to be detained in captivity. In addition to interceding for this Christian leader's immediate release, please also pray for the cessation of Russian aggression so that the people of Ukraine can live in peace. May followers of Jesus in Russia and occupied regions of Ukraine who are suffering under the dictates of repressive policies receive guidance, protection and courage as they share the Lord's love and the hope that He alone provides while residing in these very difficult and dangerous areas.

speech therapy
SPEECH THERAPY EXODUS 4 10 And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. I was in and out of speech therapy from the ages of six to sixteen and it affected my education, leading me to be placed in the lowest stream at school, and losing two terms of year 4 at secondary school. I also failed my English exam at college due to the oral part being too much for me. So how have I reached the point, where I am able to teach and speak normally. It is all because of God's grace and constant help, I remember for years I was not able to communicate effectively and lost out on many jobs, because at interview I was not able to express myself. I felt different and difficult, a walking disaster zone, no use to anyone. I blamed myself, my parents and everyone around me for the bullying, yes, sometimes I did irritate people and sometimes still do. How do you deal with all the hurt? I came to Christ just before my 16th birthday, completely and totally insecure. But now at 66, I am completely secure, all down to the Lord. He has forgiven my past and has taught me that since I am forgiven much I have to truly forgive people who have hurt me from the heart. My favorite passage in the whole bible is Ephesians 1:3-14, in these verses is all the security you need, you have been redeemed, sealed, adopted and loved in every way possible. Another passage which has been of great help is Psalm 139, to know that God loves me and has done, even when I was in my mothers womb, is of great comfort to me. God has seen everything I have been through and he completely understands our deep hurt, all the tears we have shed, he keeps in a special bottle Psalm 56:8 King James Version 8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? Whether people reject or accept me, I know my Lord says Come unto me, I DO NOT HAVE TO STRIVE FOR HIS ACCEPTANCE. MATTHEW 11 28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. He calls me his son, that is a privilege beyond words: Romans 8 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Lastly, I am able to pour out my heart to him, you see he totally understands: PSALM 62 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. You may of gone through trauma in your childhood, whatever it is, bullying, sexual molestation, rape or a physical ailment like me, there is healing and refuge in the power of the cross, come to Jesus and let him purge your past. There are marks, there are flashbacks, there are memories, but the pain has gone, Jesus has set me free, now I am believe it or not an English teacher, a writer and secure in Christ. I am only these things, because I came to the cross and I continually come to be washed by the precious word of God, that tells me, I am free of my past, and that I am secure not just for today, but for eternity. THE X FACTOR
THE X FACTOR John 7:38 King James Version 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. JOHN 14 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; JOHN 16 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. There was a TV talent show many years ago in the UK that was called the X factor, it was a singing show, which unknown singer had that extra piece they called the X factor? Every Christian has an X factor which is the Holy Spirit. Let me say from the outset, that the Holy spirit, is fully God. He was there at creation, he was there at Jesus baptism, he was there at the cross and it was through Him that Jesus was raised from the dead. He was poured out at Pentecost, he can be grieved Ephesians 4, he can be lied to Acts 5:1-11, in this passage, he is clearly identified as God. He is part of that unique mystery called the trinity, we see the trinity in action, working as one, in creation and in redemption. The Holy Spirit lives in each and every true born-again believer, indeed it is him, who lifts the veil from their eyes about sin and about their need of Christ. The job of the Holy spirit is to reveal Christ to us, he is to uplift Jesus, by opening up our eyes to the truths of scripture, I have no ability to understand any of scripture, it is only through him, that I am able to share it. It is the Holy Spirit, who moved people to write the Holy Bible. He lives in us to sanctify us unto God, to make us more like Christ, that is why there is a daily battle going on between the flesh and the spirit Galatians 5:16-17 and Romans 6 and 7. That is why in Romans 12;1-2,we are told to renew our minds, so that we can be transformed, the Holy Spirit uses Gods word to transform us. Daily, we need to filled with the Holy Spirit, he lives within us, but we have to sow to the spirit, we have to starve the flesh and let the Holy Spirit, work in our lives, we need to stop blocking him by our anger, bitterness and evil speaking. Ephesians 5:18 Ephesians 4:17-32. God's Holy spirit can be blocked by our complaining attitude, we are told to give thanks for everything 1Thessalonians 5:18, if we are constantly complaining, then it blocks his work. The Holy Spirit, is not just the X factor in our walk, it is in our witness. When we share the gospel, we can talk and talk to someone, we explain in detail, we share many bible verses, but somehow, they just don't get it. The Holy Spirit is the illuminator, he and he alone, convicts of sin, righteousness and judgement, in other words, he makes the sinner aware that he is guilty before God, that Jesus is the only way to God, that is through the righteousness of Christ that we are saved, and that the terrifying consequences of sin is death and eternal separation from God. When I was saved all these elements came to fruition, as I was made aware that I was a sinner and that Jesus was the only way to salvation. The Holy spirit gives the Christian the X factor in his walk with Christ and in his witness for Christ. 。 The fruit of the Holy spirit is outlined in Galatians 5:22-23and in Colossians chapter 3:12-17 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectnes

pray for china
pray for china This March, we are praying for the city of Guilin. Even if you have never heard its name, it's very likely you know about Guilin: its beautiful mountains and distinct landscape are famous around the world. When many people think of China's natural beauty, they think of Guilin. The churches in Guilin do ministry in the midst of this beauty. They also do ministry in the midst of a great deal of tourism. West of the city, the Lingui District has developed into an economic center. Outside the city, many ethnic minorities live and practice traditional religions. It is a rich area full of many opportunities, and challenges, and we hope you will join us in praying for the house churches in Guilin this month. This Week's Prayer Guide March 2 - This March, we are praying for the southern city of Guilin. Pray for the gospel to go deeper and wider among the churches and people of Guilin. March 3 - There is a saying that "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven.” People come from all over the world to journey down the Li River and gaze at the beautiful karst mountains. As one pastor shares, “You'll see a picture of Guilin's landscape on the back of the 20 RMB banknote, so it's become a calling card for China, a way to introduce China to the world.” Praise God for displaying his beauty in nature, and pray that the people of Guilin may see the beauty of Christ. March 4 - One pastor shares, “Guilin, as a scenic tourist city, can't build high-rises because they would block the mountains and scenery. So, it looks a bit old and run-down.” However, to the west of downtown, the Lingui New District “looks more like a major city with more economic activity, industries, and a larger influx of people.” Pray for more church planting in this growing district. March 5 - “Since Guilin's economy relies heavily on tourism,” says one pastor, “the pandemic significantly impacted the city's economy and daily life. About half of Guilin's population works in tourism-related industries, so they were all greatly affected. People now feel like they want to make up for the three years they lost, so there's this frenzy around making money.” Pray for those without jobs, and for those who are too obsessed with making money, that they would find greater hope in Christ. March 6 - Near Guilin are multiple autonomous counties, where most of the population is made up of ethnic minorities. Approximately 10% of the population of Guilin is made up of ethnic minorities, such as the Yao, Miao, Dong, and Zhuang people. Pray for God to draw people to himself from among these autonomous counties. March 7 - Guilin is a major historical center of Buddhism, and was one of the first major cities in China where Buddhism took root. Today, many monasteries and temples can still be seen in the city, where people burn incense sticks and pray. Pray for the hope of Christ to permeate the hearts of those who currently turn to Buddhism for hope. March 8 - Much of Guilin’s church history began in 1862, with the American missionary Robert Edward Chambers. Chambers met a great deal of resistance and was expelled, and yet, one pastor shares: “He believed that the beginning of the Lord's victory in Guangxi had begun, and the future church in Guangxi would flourish immensely. Indeed, over a hundred years later, although this land has been very resistant to God's Word, God's Word has triumphed and flourished here, which continues to encourage us.” Praise God for the fact that the gospel took root in Guilin, and pray for continued fruit in this city.

WHAT ARE WE TO DO WHILST WE ARE WAITING ON EARTH?
WHAT ARE WE TO DO WHILST WE ARE WAITING ON EARTH? EPHESIANS 5 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Do you want to get to heaven, as Paul did?. But had to stay on earth Philippians 1:23 King James Version 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: We are citizens of heaven, we long for that place, but we are needed here on earth, until the Lord sees fit to call us home, so what are we to spend our time doing? We are to redeem our time, not waste it, lets look at some of the things we could be doing. WORKING 2 Corinthians 6 :1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. We are not here to be idle; we are workers together with God, this is a joint venture, we are his co-workers. Yes, we are unworthy servants Luke 17:10, but we are God's instruments to serve and reach a world that needs to know Him. In Galatians 6 and 2 Thessalonians 3, we are told not to be weary in well doing, in other words, keep doing good, keep serving others, keep on serving God.. don't stop even for a minute. WATCHFUL ISAIAH 62:6 Isaiah 62:6 King James Version 6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, A watchmen is constantly on the lookout, even the slightest hint of danger, they report it, nothing gets past them, they see everything. Jude said that people had crept into the church without people noticing, maybe the watchmen were asleep or distracted? Are you keeping watch? If you are a pastor, are you keeping watch over your sheep? Are you guarding the flock of God? Ordinary believer, are you watching out for false doctrine spreading in your church and are you watching over young believers in your fellowship? WORSHIPPING What will we be doing in heaven? Worshiping and praising God. We ought to be a worshipping people, our hearts should show forth the glories of the Lord. Let's get focused on heaven by worshipping God on a daily basis, as that is what we will be doing in heaven. Let's have a real heart for worship, adoration and praise to God. WITNESS ACTS 1:8 MATTHEW 28:16-20 AND COLOSSIANS 4:2-6 Our greatest honour is to share the gospel, to be used by God to bring another person to Christ, is awesome. This is probably the main reason, we are here, not to make money, not to satisfy ourselves but to reach others. This must start with our families, we have to touch our families for Jesus, many households are divided, a mother trusts Christ but the husband doesn't. This is so important, so many women in China, put church first, but they have the wrong priority, its family first. WARNERS We need to be Warners, people are going to a Christless eternity, are you a watchman on the wall, if you are and then you see danger, but don't see anything and the wall gets broken down, you are guilty. Ezekiel Chapters 3 and 33 WARMERS Are you a warmer? What is a warmer? Do you open up your home to fellow believers? Is your home a haven for Christian friendship and fellowship? When people meet you, do you warm them or repel them? Are you a Christian, that makes others feel comfortable and warm? WARRIORS INVOLVED IN WARFARE 2 TIMOTHY 2:3 COLOSSIANS 4:12 2 COR 10:4-5 EPHESIANS 6:10-18 We are in hand to hand combat, as a: Soldier We are all soldiers in God's army, we have armour, we have weapons. Whilst we are here on earth, we will spend our time in spiritual warfare, remember Christian, you are in a war. In Pilgrim's progress, Pilgrim had many battles with the enemy, he was equipped with armour, why because he was to experience daily spiritual warfare. Prayer warrior Epaphras was a man who battled fervently in prayer, he was a fervent prayer warrior. Our prayers are a dynamic spiritual weapon, Are you a fervent and passionate prayer warrior, like Epaphras was. What are you doing with your time on earth? We are to se our time in God honouring activities, like the ones mentioned above, if we do this, we will sure be: REDEEMING
