Re: Groups.IO messages not coming thru
Hi Gaylord: Do you get that many for the S-gauge.io group or is this the number for the S-scale.io group?? I do get many S-scale.io messages; So possibly the S-gauge.io group is quite quiet! regards, Rance Velapoldi On Wed, Jun 12, 2024 at 5:00?AM Gaylord Gill via <gcgill=[email protected]> wrote: Rance, as of the time your message arrived today (Tuesday June 11th), I counted 13 messages posted since midnight.? Re: TEST
Hi John: Guess the question is how much activity does the S-gauge.io group have?? Is it more than 1 message a week or two?? The problem is that I only get one or two over 2-3 weeks for S-gauge.io.? If that is the activity rate, then that is ok.? I am not a member of other .io groups.? However, it seems as though there must be more activity for the S-gauge.io group than only one message every one or two weeks.? The S-scale group is quite active (although I am not sure whether it is an io group or not.? Just that there was some discussion about switching to .io a few years ago. regards, Rance Velapoldi On Wed, Jun 12, 2024 at 1:58?AM John Degnan via <scaler164=[email protected]> wrote:

I receive my messages via the Full Digest mode, which sends a single email with the day's postings.? Due to the volume, there are often two or even three such emails.?? ? ? ? Gaylord Gill ? ? ? Highland, Michigan |
For Sale: Overland ALCO S-1
I have an original OMI ALCO S-1. Never had couplers installed, apparently not run much. It has all the detail parts in the bags and the original paperwork from Overland?
dated 1986. There is a crinkle dink to one corner of the box. The box also had what I think was a price tag that has been removed. I bought the model from a hobby shop in Westminster CA. when not thinking. I was looking for the S-2, oh well.? $380 including Priority ?Mail shipping Rusty |
Re: Groups.IO messages not coming thru

Re: Groups.IO messages not coming thru
Hi all: I don't know how many messages are going out.? I get one or two every once in a while.? Is there a lot of activity, or is this the activity (maybe one message per week)?? Are we missing out on messaging each other?? I am curious as to the actual activity of this group! regards from Norway, Rance Velapoldi? Re: Groups.IO messages not coming thru
开云体育Jim A couple things to try, go to groups io and check your bouncing history. Also check your spam filter on where ever you get your email from, some email providers will start calling groups io spam and filter it out. You may have to look at more than one spam filter. Ian McKinley

I've wanted the MDT Flexi-Flo for years, though my former lobbying?for a brass one and my recent kitbashing plans both show no real sign of progress. Stan Stokrocki |

Groups.IO messages not coming thru
All of my Groups.IO digest mode emails stopped coming thru overnight.? I checked my .IO settings and just verified with Spectrum that nothing has changed there.? Since I would normally get a response to this post via .IO, please contact me off list if you're experiencing similar issues, know if there's a problem on Groups' end, etc.? I did send an email to "support" at Groups and got a rubber-stamp reply so that is working, just not any of the chat groups. Jim King

I think Airflow was an automobile marketing term.? While I am by no means expert about more modern freight cars, there were Airslides (GATX) and ACF Center Flows.

There is a book written about the Milwaukee Road's? financial woes.? The author mentions that they had assigned several Airflow hoppers to a client in Montana.? Those cars beat the pants off the BN's service for that client.?
Apparently that vintage of car, like the ACF version, was well liked.? The GPNTRR has two of them!? With free rolling replacement trucks they roll almost forever!

I’m not sure about update. ?It is a longer and higher capacity car. |

Not at all.? While there were only a limited number of the RRM Airslides (I have done my share to reduce any available ones), there are enough still out there that it wouldn't have made much sense for Ben to reinvent the wheel.? Those are all single discharge
cars, both early and later configuration.
As I've just indicated, I like them, despite their being rather too modern for a transition era dairy country short line and will be very interested to see what Ben might bring to Harrisburg.? In addition to brass imports, MTH made a pretty credible twin-hopper
Airslide in O scale.

Is this a updated version of the Airslide that RR made 25? years ago?? Nice to see a new build taking shape.
