Re: Groups.IO messages not coming thru

Hi all:
I don't know how many messages are going out.? I get one or two every once in a while.? Is there a lot of activity, or is this the activity (maybe one message per week)?? Are we missing out on messaging each other?? I am curious as to the actual activity of this group!

Jim

A couple things to try, go to groups io and check your bouncing history. Also check your spam filter on where ever you get your email from, some email providers will start calling groups io spam and filter it out. You may have to look at more than one spam filter.

I'm aware of Pressure Flow, Dry-Flo and Flexi-Flo cars.
I've wanted the MDT Flexi-Flo for years, though my former lobbying?for a brass one and my recent kitbashing plans both show no real sign of progress.

Re: Decal search

Bill Morris, Thanks for your input. I would be pleased to have you send me whatever GE set and data you have but I'm also sending to Protocraft for the O scale set(s), in case I can't get them reduced?to S scale.?

I think Airflow was an automobile marketing term.? While I am by no means expert about more modern freight cars, there were Airslides (GATX) and ACF Center Flows.

There is a book written about the Milwaukee Road's? financial woes.? The author mentions that they had assigned several Airflow hoppers to a client in Montana.? Those cars beat the pants off the BN's service for that client.? Apparently that vintage of car, like the ACF version, was well liked.? The GPNTRR has two of them!? With free rolling replacement trucks they roll almost forever!

I¡¯m not sure about update. ?It is a longer and higher capacity car.

Not at all.? While there were only a limited number of the RRM Airslides (I have done my share to reduce any available ones), there are enough still out there that it wouldn't have made much sense for Ben to reinvent the wheel.? Those are all single discharge cars, both early and later configuration.
As I've just indicated, I like them, despite their being rather too modern for a transition era dairy country short line and will be very interested to see what Ben might bring to Harrisburg.? In addition to brass imports, MTH made a pretty credible twin-hopper Airslide in O scale.
