Looking for info on David Nelson Band 2/20/04 -Neil Content
Going through my old audio disks and found David Nelson Band 2004-02-20 with no other info. It has 5 Neil Covers on it - Lookout Joe/Albuquerque/Everybody's Alone/Big Time and The Losing End. I just need the venue information and, if possible, the rest of the setlist if anyone has it. I've scoured the net for setlist info, but to no avail. Thanks, Clancey with an E

NYA Vol I tracks 4
Hi everyone, Like all of you(?) I've bought hardcopies of NYA Vol I, Vol II and now Vol III (and soon Vol IV and Vol V). I load all my purchases into iTunes(now called Music app). The tracks for Vol I are all corrupted. I think I got them from NYA (as mp3?) using the CODE on the plastic card. I emailed Customer Support at NYA and they responded the downloads are not available. My question is: is there somewhere I can re-download the tracks as flac, wav or even mp3?? As you know the discs in the box are Blu-Ray. -- Cheers, Jim Try to Remember Peace [email protected] mod

Henry Diltz sighting (some Neil content) 3
Henry Diltz, the photographer who's taken some amazing pictures of Neil and other rock music people over the years (as well as numerous album covers including the first CSN album) was at the dB's concert last night in L.A. Sure enough, he was standing close to the front of the stage, taking pictures of the opening group Vicki Peterson and John Cowsill (and presumably also took pictures of the headliner). Very nice person when I introduced myself. Here's one of his Neil pics. Ian silver wings of morning

Article on In A Rusted Out Garage 3
After watching the In A Rusted Out Garage blu ray, I was curious to read more about it. There's some good info at https://neilyoungnews.thrasherswheat.org/2020/02/streaming-this-weekend-in-rusted-out.html I had seen this in bits and pieces, but never the whole thing. It's almost 3 hours long, and has not only concert footage, but behind the scenes stuff with the host "Dan Clear" and some videos from Landing On Water (People On The Street and Pressure). I was reminded of how much that album meant to me, on a deep, serious level, so it was interesting to see the rather comical videos. Another thing that I noticed is just how animated Neil is, jumping around during some of the songs onstage, and dancing around in the videos. I've never seen him moving around that much. Help Needed (No Neil Content) 4
I have been using iTunes for many years to categorize and store my music collection. iTunes has gotten to the point where it is unreliable and many artists and songs are "chopped up" and will show up in different locations. For example, a Government Mule disc is filed correctly with the exception of one song which shows up as being undocumented and is at another location in iTunes. This has recently become more of an issue than ever before. I'm just curious. How do other list members store their music on the computer for easy listening access? I have been a Mac user for many years and I don't know where to turn for help. Thanks so much for any info. Jeff

CSNY Take my hand (live 1970) - Re: Live At Filmore East, 1969 2
Dear Rusties, Last week I got the CD (why only one?) of Live at Fillmore East 1969, and have listened to it multiple times with much enjoyment. I tried to find it on Spotify (yes!) but also found a recording of the second tour in 1970, called “Take my hand”. You can also find it on YouTube. Personally, this series of concerts is for me the best CSNY produced, foremost because of the guitar duels of Stills and Young, never equally repeated before or afterwards. 4 Way Street is fine, but you always want more. I have somewhere copies of the Halverson/Barncard-tapes, but this ‘Take my hand’ recording is a fine addition; the quality is rather good and it’s available right away. Unfortunately there are no notes about this recording, and I’ve nowhere found a CD-version. Can anybody provide more information about this recording and the concert from which it is? Are there more concert recordings from the 1970 tour available? Regards, Fons.

Live At Filmore East, 1969 3
Hi guys Could anyone help clarify why on the album Live at Filmore East, 1969, the songs are not in the same sequence as the original show? Why was Broken Arrow removed from the album?

NYCH Toronto May 20, 2024 We Transfer 4
Hi all, I was looking for this download a month or so ago. I ended up in a huge(?) back and forth with DIME blah blah blah. I've downloaded the show and here is a We Transfer link to the show files. Seems it will expire Nov 4th so if you want it click now. My first time offering on We Transfer so YMMV. https://we.tl/t-mDKJKBVV6z Cheers, Jim Try to Remember Peace [email protected] mod

Will Wallace: 4 time Jeopardy champion 4
It was very inspiring to me to watch our fellow Rustie Will Wallace win 4 rounds of Jeopardy. He is a very modest yet fierce competitor because he is just so smart. Wow. I was really impressed with his performance on the show and I thank him for expressing his admiration of Neil Young to a national audience. For those of you who know him, please forward this message of admiration for him. Great job, Will! Congratulations for being a 4 day champion! Mike Expecting To Fly

The Last 20 Seconds of “Cinnamon Girl”
I've always loved the brief, intense, and weird power and mystery of Cinnamon Girl -- here's a pretty interesting in-depth look and analysis of the great last 20 seconds of that song!: "The lore surrounding the song “Cinnamon Girl” by Neil Young and Crazy Horse is extensive. Recorded and released in 1969 on Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, it is one of Young’s most beloved songs and an unassailable classic. Stories about the song abound, such as how it was one of three songs written in a day by Young while in the midst of a fever, the one-note guitar solo, and the mystery surrounding the true identity of the song’s titular character. Yet there is one aspect of “Cinnamon Girl” that remains overlooked: the last 20 seconds." https://reclinernotes.com/2024/10/27/the-last-20-seconds-of-cinnamon-girl/ JC

Re NEIL YOUNG SOUNDTRACK SERIES 7
Hi All, I am not a member of NYA - buying his archives is expensive enough , ha, ha. I am intrigued to know whether a member of the NYA can ask Neil, if Journey Through The Past will be included in this series, the Soundtrack Series Not Neil's finest, but the CSNY version of Ohio/ Find the Cost of Freedom is just the best ever. Vol III group watch on zoom!!
I am thinking of doing a zoom to watch Vol III blurays on Sundays, a couple times of month, at 1pm EST. Anyone interested in joining? I am thinking of doing one movie a showing. I have a HD player on my computer, so the quality should be as good as your equipment allows. The benefit will be that we can chat via typing or stop every so often and talk, as the group decides for that particular day. I would do at least one a month, in the winter, maybe more often depending on my schedule. Let me know. I have to decide how to advertise and that... -- peace, marilyn Listen to my record at www.MarilynMillerMusic.com! When the music calls, I'll be there....ny
