Two new unreleased songs on NYA 3
I'm not on FB but this has been sent to me from someone who is on there: Down By The River and Singer Without A Song outtakes Neil has slipped a couple of nice outtakes into NYA without telling anyone yet. There is a massive Down By The River by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young from the Portland OR show, Feb 2, 2000, of the CSNY2000 North American Tour. Neil and Stills trade some great guitar work. 12:46 and a must listen! Then there is a preview track from the forthcoming Alchemy project, the so far unreleased song Singer Without A Song, recorded during tour rehearsals at S.I.R. New York, dated Sep 25. 2012, with the Horse of course. Neil has added the note pictured. I have added the URLs so you can find then easily, but you can also find them well hidden on the Timeline! On the app, just search for the song title in the Search. Happy listening! https://neilyoungarchives.com/info-card?track=t2000_0202_01 https://neilyoungarchives.com/info-card?track=t2012_0925_01 Andrew Leeds, UK

1st Disc - Odeon Budokan 2
Does anyone know if this is the show where Billy and Poncho dropped acid? The story is told in SHAKEY. It was the March 11th show according to the book. If so, it just makes listening with knowing that so much more of an experience for me anyways, because I've been that way before, and played guitar, so it's kinda cool if this is it. Re-reading real quick, i guess Billy and Poncho dropped again for Odeon shows, so most likely there is some of this where they are dosed (B & P)......... Happy Farm Aid Eve
To all who celebrate! Well, Farm Aid has a FAE event at a winery that has sold out. There are Rusties who are attending the Farm Aid Eve event and wish them all a grand time supporting #FarmAid! For any Rusties in/near Saratoga Springs that are not attending the FAE event, I'm told Rusties will be gathering @ PJ's BBQ in Saratoga Springs, NY, around 6:30 PM. If you plan to come and have an instrument, bring it. I'll have a guitar & Marilyn will have her's... we'll find a way to build a Rustfest! https://pjsbarbqsa.com/ Peace, love, BBQ & music, Ron (and Cathy Dx3) Love And Only Love

I met him thru the rustlist, and then corresponded with him on Facebook. He was always very friendly and fun. Besides Neil, he had lots to say about movies as well. New timeline show - Milwaukee Nov 15, 1992 21
A new timeline show popped up yesterday from Milwaukee Nov 15, 1992 It is a cracking show, Neil's voice and guitar sounds superb. He's also in a great mood and goofing around throughout. Particularly love the jazzy This Notes For You. Andrew Rodley, UK

Trans movie from Archives 3 2
After unwrapping the Archives 3, the first thing I was curious to hear (and see) was the Trans blu ray. The album became very special to me over the years, and it's especially cool to see the accompanying visuals in the movie, and hear the computerized songs by themselves, without the non-computerized ones that were also on the album. The whole thing lasts about 28 minutes. SPOILER CONTENT - during Transformer Man, you see some pictures of (I assume) Ben Young as a baby. Very touching. Elsewhere, there's imagery from the Trans album's front and back cover artwork which flow into other visuals, and some nature imagery as well. I love the way there's also some visuals of driving on the road, since Neil's music reminds me of the open road. The whole thing comes together well. This would be a great film to see on the big screen, or at a rustfest with other fans. Really special. It doesn't really tell a cohesive story, but a very colorful use of animation. There's also some blonde nurses who show up, that seem based on Daryl Hannah. Ian siler wings of morning

An Archives Volume Observation / Inquiry 3
Hello, I hope this note finds all well. I was talking about the three volumes so far and their content with a casual Neil fan and we were thinking the numbers didn't add up. It has been said before that there would be five volumes. Let's take a look at this so far .... Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972 (10 Discs CD or Blu-ray) - Covers 9 years Archives Vol. 2 1972-1976 (10 Discs CD) - Covers 4 years Archives Vol. 3 1976-1987 (17 Discs CD & 5 Blu-ray) - Covers 11 years Now, let's get crazy here ..... If Vol. 5 was released today, that would mean that both Vol. 4 & Vol. 5 would have to split 37 years of audio/video & data. Splitting it down the middle could look something like this : Archives Vol. 4 1987-2005 (Content/size - ??) - Covers 17 years Archives Vol. 5 2006-2024 (Content/size - ??) - Covers 18 years Logic would dictate there's more audio and video available for inclusion in the "modern" time than there was prior... even if Neil hasn't been as prolific as in earlier times. I could easily be missing something, and I welcome input, but does it make sense or not? How large are Vol. 4 & Vol. 5 going to be to "hold" the content contained in these years? It obviously grows with each session, recording and concert. ... always pondering what we don't yet hold in our hands, all my best, rustintampa (Eric Baxter)

Harvest Moon at Lake Hughes, CA 5
I bought a ticket for the Harvest Moon concert benefiting the Painted Turtle and Bridge School on October 5 headlined by Neil and Stills. I went to the event they had 5 years ago and had a good time and discovered after attending that there were some Rusties in attendance I would have liked to have visited with. Is anyone here going to this show? Mike Expecting To Fly
