Spin CD & The Archive CD set

David Gore

Taken from the Spin CD web site
?
28/05/2009 - Neil Young - 'Neil Young Archives Volume 1 (1963 -

Please note - Only the CD Box Set is in stock - the two DVD sets will be released on June 8th. We have enough CD sets to cover our existing orders and a few spares. As far as we can tell the CD boxes are subject to limited availability in the UK so move quickly if you want one.
?
?
Nowhere on this site does it say that the CD set will NOT be issued in the UK.? With respect to the CD set being limited. The Neil Young.Com site says ALL the formats are limited.?? Sales ploy no doubt.
I think anyone in the UK who wants the CD set will have no trouble whatsoever and people should check their facts before relying on the word of one company.

I think it was me that posted their original not available in the UK comment. In good faith. Their statement that they have copies in is consistent with that. Perhaps HMV, Amazon etc are also importing.

Most copies most places are probably imported anyway.

Does any of it matter? As long as people can get what they want without being gouged by the intermediaries, no, not really.

Glad to learn that - thanks for the info -and yes, both Amazon UK , & Play UK advertise the CD Box Set ,as issued on 08/06/09, so that Spin import only claim seems strange in retrospect. There you are - all very civilised !

Very true about your last para there Richard. I took Spin CDs at their word.As I have used them for the past ten years ,I had no prior reason to doubt their word,as they are usually authoritative.I would be surprised that they scare mongered in order to flog their import copies early, based on my experiences with them.Where is Archives Guy when I need him?!
