Being a RustFest virgin and all, I was planning on
visiting Threadgill's within the next few days and
talking to management folks about being able to
have...I'm guessing 16 to 20 human beings...sort of be
able to sit together in close proximity, either at the
same table or the same group of tables. Ideally,
it'll be this glorious spring day and we could all sit
outside at the lawn tables.

How have other RustFest gatherings been put together
at restaurants?....how do you congregate if you
haven't met each other in person?....do we all just
have that certain look about us?....I would assume
Neil-related clothing would be a giveaway....maybe I
could bring an album cover and set it on the table as
sort of a flag....whaddayall think?

Judy and I are still up for it...we were thinkin'
about showing up at about 5:30 or 6:00 before the 8:00
show. By the way, after talkin' it over, we're
leaving our kids with some friends for the
evening...and I'm hopin' ol' Neil will someday play us
another glorious solo acoustic show.

that'd be great charlie. hope it's not during the
"cricket invasion week". if it IS, we can always move
inside. btw, my son's wedding rehearsal dinner will be
at threadgills so i've got all their group info hangin
around here somewhere.

jules, it's the grossest thing you can imagine.... once a year,
millions of crickets invade austin. walk along the sidewalk
and it's *crunch crunch crunch*... eat outside and they hop
into yer food, hop down yer shirt. it only lasts about a week
tho. thankgoodness.
