it never ceases to amaze me how willie can Fuck Up A Song.....
(the first time my television has ever been
on CMT the country music channel for more than 2 seconds)
Here's my 2 cents:
1. Mickey Raphael has been playing harmonica for Willie and other artists
longer than I can remember, I can't believe some have never heard of him.
2. I thought Willie's guitar licks on Comes A Time and Sugar Mountain were
very tasteful and original, although I know some just like to hear Neil's
acoustic guitar strummed solo. Maybe the "live mix" made it sound
out-of-place, but I thought it fit in well.
2. There's nothing wrong with watching CMT and if you watched it more you
wouldn't be surprised at the rerun show of Willie with Sheryl Crow or the
upcoming James Taylor with the Dixie Chicks. As a matter of fact, CMT's
reruns of the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour has been some of the best
music-oriented television I've seen this year.
Hope everybody enjoyed the show. In my opinion, good but not great, but
