New Rolling Stone... and a question about Neil's guitars.

Just got the new Rolling Stone magazine today; It has the featured review on AYP? (3.5 stars) and a monster of an article about Flight 93.

Buried way in the back, on page 145, is the quote "Are you guys ready? Ok, Let's Roll." Even if you didn't want to read about Neil, this is one of the best articles I've read so far -- its a shame RollingStone decided to break it up and make you flip to the back to finish the article. Just for once, I wish they'd not give in to the advertising and would let an article flow without interuption.

Anyway, back to my Neil question:

I was listening to my newly acquired 1 disc Austin '84 show (which I assume, correct me if I'm wrong, is from Austin City Limits) and began to wonder. When Neil played his "genre" shows like this, did he use Old Black? I figure he used the Gretsch hollow body for the Everybody's Rockin' era tour, but what was he playing on for the Bluenotes' tours, etc.

At least now I know what the fuss about that version of Southern Pacific is all about. :)

Neil made occasional use of Old Black during the
Harvesters shows. He played it on Powderfinger and DBTR,
for sure. I also know that the song on Lucky 13, Don't
Take Your Love Away From Me, was performed with Old Black.
And, finally, Old Black was used extensively during the
Bluenotes tours.
