The past few years Eddie Vedder has really started to impress me, not
only with his song writing and singing ability, but also with his
attitude towards his peers. The respect he shows Neil when they are
together is heart warming. Now i read at the R&R hall of fame inductor
ceremony Eddie sported a mohawk to honor the Ramones who he presented
the honor to.
He attributed his new look the frustration at world events and said "i
took it out on my own hair" Vedder said the Ramones were a blue print
for a generation of rockers and recalled the first time he heard the
band. "It was terribly frightening and totally blissful at the same
time" said Vedder swigging a bottle of wine during his speech.
Eddie always seems to be working for cause and respecting the
tradition's of his profession. To me he is to music like Derrick Jeter
is to baseball. They both are the best of their generation and they act
like they don't know it.
