Hi folks,
Thought you'd find this interesting. In the Jan/Feb 2002 issue of
IFC Rant magazine (from the Independent Film channel), there was a
column which really puts down Year Of The Horse, which was shown on
IFC this month.
The column on p. 16 is called "Watching IFC--Brandon Judell Reacts To
Upcoming Programming on the Independent Film Channel." There is one
paragraph on YOTH and it is VERY NASTY.
"Which brings us to Jim Jarmusch's Year of the Horse (1997), a
documentary on Neil Young's world tour. Ho-hum. Where's RuPaul when
you really need her? For 98 minutes, you get to hear the aging
rocker sing his less-than-best songs. That he's surrounded by a
mediocre band, Crazy Horse, makes this one a must for masochistic
insomniacs. Not since Kathie Lee Gifford has an act had less stage
presence."
I've never read anything so harsh as this against Neil. Why don't
