Article on In A Rusted Out Garage
After watching the In A Rusted Out Garage blu ray, I was curious to read more about it. There's some good info at
?
I had seen this in bits and pieces, but never the whole thing. It's almost 3 hours long, and has not only concert footage, but behind the scenes stuff with the host "Dan Clear" and some videos from Landing On Water (People On The Street and Pressure). I was reminded of how much that album meant to me, on a deep, serious level, so it was interesting to see the rather comical videos. Another thing that I noticed is just how animated Neil is, jumping around during some of the songs onstage, and dancing around in the videos. I've never seen him moving around that much.

Yeah, Neil was in great shape on that tour. Here is my perspective on a few things about that particular show. At the time, I lived a couple hours away from The Cow Palace so I bought tickets to the show and attended. I did hear that in addition to the pay-per-view cable broadcast that the audio would be broadcast from my local radio station. I hooked up my VCR to my receiver and set it up to record audio from the radio broadcast before I left for the show. When I got back, I transferred the recording to cassette tape. For the first and only time, I taped a show. It was pretty cool to have. I particularly enjoyed the unreleased songs that would not come out until next year's Life album. This was the last show of the tour and I do believe it was the last time Neil performed Trans songs using a vocoder onstage ever.

开云体育I need to watch this.?I didn’t go to many concerts, still don’t, but wish I had.? The 80’s were big for me, graduated high school in 82, Old Ways in 83 or 4, when I really figured out who Neil was and started buying all his albums.? Landing on Water and Kraftwerk’s Electric Cafe in 86 blew me away! Moved to Idaho to farm in 89, loving every life in Idaho but really missed the good music (and the ocean!) of the San Francisco area… Russell Courtenay Solemnity and profundity are sublime in inequity.?
